When it comes to fashion garments, necklines have a large impact on the look and style of the clothing. The neckline is the top edge of a garment that surrounds the neck, especially from the front view.  For each garment worn above the waist, the neckline is primarily a style line and may be a boundary for further shaping of the upper edge of the clothing with a collar, cowl, darts or pleats.

One type of neckline that is sexy, sensual and perfect for summer is the halterneck. Halterneck is a style of women’s clothing straps that runs from the front of the garment around the back of the neck, leaving the impression from behind that nothing is holding up the dress or the top.

In addition to tops, blouses and dresses, the halterneck style is used in bathing suits to maximize sun tan exposure on the back, and minimize tan lines. The halterneck style creates the look of a backless dress or top. The neck strap itself can be covered by your hair, leaving the impression from behind that nothing is holding up the garment.

Halterneck Fashion Tip: If a bra is worn with a halterneck, the bra is generally strapless or of halterneck construction itself, to avoid exposing the back straps of a typical bra. For those of you who are fashion fearless, exposing bra straps is a popular trend.

Other Popular Types of Necklines:

  1. Boat Neck – A high, wide, slightly curved neckline.
  2. Deep Necklines – Low necklines in either V, U or square shapes, revealing various amounts of cleavage.
  3. Jewel Neckline – Round and sits at the base of the throat.
  4. Off the Shoulder – The neckline rests low and below the shoulders and collar bone.
  5. One Shoulder Necklines – Asymmetrical necklines that cut across the torso diagonally, exposing one shoulder.
  6. Polo Neck – High, close fitting collars that wrap around the neck (turtlenecks).
  7. Scoop Neck – Curved shaped Us, with the arms of the U hanging on the shoulders.
  8. Square Neck – Three linear edges, with the bottom edge meeting the side edges at a right angle.
  9. V-Neck – Two diagonal lines from the shoulders meet on the chest, creating a V shape.

For a cool, chic neckline that passes the hot summer weather test, the halterneck is truly  the best!

Neckline Fun Fact: The shape of your necklines can be modified in many ways, by adding a collar, scarf, overlaying the neckline with another fabric or decorating the edges with picots, ruffles or fringe. The neckline can be a sharp edge of fabric or a more gentle cowl, and can be accentuated by patterns in the material itself.

For summer and beach wear, a halter top is incredibly popular. A halter top is a sleeveless shirt similar to a tank top, but with the straps being tied behind the neck as opposed to the straps going over the shoulders, like spaghetti straps. In another style of the halter top, there is only a narrow strap behind the neck and a narrow strap behind the middle of the back, so that the top is predominantly backless. This design resembles many bikini tops, although the halter top covers the chest more and may cover all of the abdomen.

High end glamour in a halterneck!

“Your evening gown is simply divine. You’re ready to hit the town.”

“I love the halter neckline and tight fit. The best fashion style around.”

“The halterneck works on garments that are casual or extremely elegant.”

“Yes. A true glamour girl can never go wrong in a gorgeous halterneck outfit.”

“The backless look and bare shoulders are a true fashion win.”

“Halternecks provide high end glamour no matter what garment you’re in.”

Halterneck: Always cool, always chic, always an eye candy fashion treat!

How we choose to wear our hair reveals much more about us than our basic personality. The texture, shine, vitality and thickness of our hair can reveal if we are vibrant and healthy, or perhaps show that our bodies are lacking in essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals. Often times our health on the inside of us is revealed on the outside through the condition of our hair.

Gorgeous, shiny hair is intrinsically linked to beauty! Did you know that each strand of your hair is a protein filament that grows from the follicles around the dermis layer of your skin? This is no surprise, as one of the main nutrients our bodies need to provide us with the shimmery, healthy looking head of hair that we crave is protein. Two other nutrients needed to feed your hair from the inside out are Vitamin B12 and iron. Also, drinking lots of water will help your hair to grow and maintain a radiant shine.

No matter how you cut and style your hair, we all have a certain basic hair type that we are born with: straight, wavy, curly and kinky/coiled. If you want to know your natural basic hair type, wash and condition your hair and then let it air dry, without brushing, blow drying or adding gels and mousse to your hair. Your hair will either dry straight, wavy, curly or kinked/coiled. Sometimes it’s fun to change your basic hair type using curling irons, hair straighteners, etc. but all hair types are beautiful and you should love the hair that you have!

If you adore your hair, yet prefer to change it up once in a while, let a Mobile Styles professional hair stylist doll up your hair with a cut, style, color change, highlight or weave. Your glorious head of hair will thank you for a much needed new look, which gives you a “new you!”

Steps to Ensure a Gorgeous, Shiny, Healthy Head of Hair:

1. Wash and Condition Your Hair: This doesn’t need be done everyday, but should be done on most days. When the shampoo instructions say “lather, rinse, repeat” you are better off to only lather once. Shampooing too much can strip your hair of essential natural oils needed for hair strength and shine.
2. Argan Oil Really Works: Use a shampoo and conditioner that contains argan oil, which will make your hair look shiny and healthy.
3. Vitamin E: Liquid Vitamin E applied to your scalp can help increase circulation to the scalp, which will make for stronger, shinier hair.
4. Use a Soft Bristle Brush: Combs and hard bristle brushes can tug at your hair, causing breakage and split ends. A soft bristle brush will prevent breakage and draw natural oils from your scalp to the ends of your hair.
5. Eat a Balanced, Healthy Diet: To ensure a healthy, happy, gorgeous, shiny head of hair your body needs protein, iron, Vitamin B12, Omega 3 fatty acids and water.

Feed your body, hair and skin from the inside out to obtain true health and glamour, and that, dear fashion divas, is what it’s all about.

Much like beauty is revered worldwide, so is great, glamorous hair. Women and men “getting their hair done” is a trend and luxury that will always be with us. Like the clothing we choose to dress in, how we style and wear our hair reveals an area of our personality that shines through for the world to see. Show them your health, desires and vitality by showing off your magnificent, gorgeous, shiny mane.

Beautifully manicured hands and fingernails look luscious and lovely! Our hands are seen and noticed by people all day long, and as all glamour girls know, manicures and decorative nail art not only looks aesthetically pleasing, but helps to keep your hands soft and your fingernails strong.

Whether your nail preference is acrylic nails or your own natural nails, it’s a fact that eventually all nails break, and often at the worst time. A broken nail is a flaw to your magnificent nail art as much as a run in your hose can ruin the looks of your outfit. You’re way too classy for that. So what do you do when you experience the sudden break of a nail or two?

You book an on demand Mobile Styles professional nail artist to come to your rescue and save you.

Have you ever wondered what causes nails to break? Brittle nails and nails lacking moisture tend to break often. Nails can also break due to a vitamin or mineral deficiency, or keeping nail polish or nail strengthener on for way too long.

So, how do you go about fixing a broken nail? For an in-home mend, you could apply a small dot of nail glue to the acrylic nail, and hope it holds until your next nail appointment. For natural nails, if the break is minor, apply a strip of nail glue to the broken area and hope it holds until the nail grows out. We all know nails grow at a slow speed, and once a natural nail is broken, even the strongest nail glue doesn’t hold for long, and we are left with short, stubby fingernails.

Although you can give yourself a Do-It-Yourself (DIY), at home manicure, don’t you deserve the pampering and catering that a professional manicurist will do for you? You can sit back, relax, let a nail stylist massage your hands, paint your nails and add ornaments and decorative art to your nails that satisfies you to your heart’s desire. Select pretty pink polish, purple, red or blue. Whatever color(s) cheers you up and looks sexy and stunning on you!

The pros will come straight to you within an hour of your booking time. The best part? No more unsightly, broken nails as Mobile Styles will save you in the knick of time! As a cosmetics guru, did you know that you can actually change your overall appearance merely by what color lipstick or lip gloss you choose to swipe on? Just like with your clothing, in addition to your look, changing the color of your lipstick can also change your  mood. From classic red, to pink, to nude, experimenting with various shades of lipstick can truly improve your attitude.

Many colors and types of lipstick exist, containing pigments, oils, waxes and emollients. Although their are numerous shades of lipsticks available on the market today, let’s concentrate on five popular colors: Red, Purple, Pink, Orange and Nude. All fashion divas get in the groove with lipstick that makes your lips shine, pop, pout and pouf! Sensual mouths for all of you!

Roaring Red Lipstick:

The color red is a warm and positive color associated with our most physical needs and our will to survive. Although red exudes a strong and powerful masculine energy, red lipstick stands out as the epitome of sex appeal and femininity! Red lipstick is energizing, excites the emotions and motivates us to take action.

Pretty Pink Lipstick:

Pink lipstick is feminine, girly and dainty. The color pink represents compassion, nurturing and love. The color pink is a combination of red and white. Pink is romantic, affectionate and intimate. Step out in powerful pink lipstick, so inviting and sweet, you’ll feel ready to tackle the day whether your mood is sour or sweet! Pink is adorable with a touch of strong. Lather your lips in pleasing pink lipsticks and you can’t go wrong!

Opulent Orange Lipstick:

Orange lipstick is the bomb! There is something about orange lips that stand out, with an aura of bold confidence and opulent royalty. The color orange radiates warmth and happiness, combining the physical reaction of red and the cheerfulness of yellow. Paint your lips in over-the-top orange and feel your look and your mood ramp up to pure optimism and spontaneity. Orange lipstick will help you get through any kind of day in an upbeat, fun way!

Pleasant Purple Lipstick:

There is no denying that pleasant purple lips pop! Whether you prefer a deep, dark purple or violet shade, or a lighter hue of lavender, when you swipe your lips in purple shades you’ll look trendy and fashionable in spades! The color purple is a mix of red and blue. Purple stimulates the imagination and spirituality. If you want to stand out in a crowd, paint your lips in glorious purple hues. Ah, what a fabulous, fashionable, fierce you!

Nifty Nude Lipstick:

For a look that is natural, warm and inviting, your best bet is to always opt for a nude toned lipstick! Nude is a short-hand for a variety of colors, from pale yellowish-brown, a pale orange-gold or a light brown cream. Makeup companies have interpreted nude cosmetic tones as a fair to medium skin color shade. Nude lipsticks always look flesh toned yet glam, suitable for any look or mood that you’re in!

Although lipstick and lip gloss come in a variety of shades, there is something about the classic red that keeps it a step ahead. Dark red was one of the most popular shades throughout the 19th and 20th century. It wasn’t until the 1930s, when Elizabeth Arden stepped onto the cosmetic scene, that she began to introduce different lipstick colors.

For all fashion divas, you need to enjoy your fashion and style! No one makes your beauty rules but you, so no matter what your skin tone is (fair, medium, dark) you need to enhance your lips with the colors of your choice! Whether you prefer bright, bold, neon colors or shades that are more subdued, always paint your lips in an array of colors that work the best for you!

Lipstick Tip: For a dry mouthed look, go with matte lipsticks. For a shiny, wet look, you want to use lip glosses!

Alter your look with this easy tip! Change the color of your lipstick!

We all experience different moods and emotions, many times over the course of one day.  Whether we’re feeling up or down, thrilled or bummed, stressed or calm, a positive, easy to achieve way to stay feeling happy and good all day can be influenced by the clothes we wear.

A mood is defined as a relatively long lasting emotional state. Our emotional state can be linked to the term “passion”, not only in pleasurable ways, but intense passion to pain and desire. Many people use the terms emotions and feelings interchangeably, although they aren’t entirely the same. I can be in an excited emotional state, see a wounded animal on the road, and immediately feel empathy for the animal, yet still maintain my overall excited state.

For all the fashion buffs in the world, you truly can change a mood or your attitude merely by changing your clothes!

Your Clothing Can Make You Feel Powerful

Think business suits. Researchers had certain people wear formal business attire and complete a series of five experiments that challenged their cognitive processing abilities. The people who dressed up felt significantly more powerful and in control of the situation than those who were dressed down.

Your Clothing Can Make You Feel Youthful, Playful and Sexy

Think the marvelous miniskirt!

Your Clothing Can Make You Want to Get in Shape

Think workout clothes to help take you to a level of health, fitness and beauty.

Your Clothing Can Make You Feel Trendy, Cool and Chic

What fabric of clothing is revered, recognized and worn by much of the population? Durable, desirable denim! Denim can be worn for beach excursions, outdoor events, sporting events, even dressy occasions if you pair upscale accessories with your denim! Oh, you glorious denim darling!

Your Clothing Can Cheer You Up

If you’re feeling down or in a rut, I guarantee you, dress in these thigh high boots and watch your mood and attitude jump sky high! Not only will you look like a daring fashion diva, but you’ll turn the heads of everyone who walks on by. Don’t you deserve to dress like the star that you are?

Your Clothing Can Make You Feel Feminine, Elegant and Sensual

For clothing that makes you feel like the fierce, confident girl that you are, I say go with a pencil skirt! Pencil skirts, paired with a form-fitted blouse or top and hot high heels keeps a  girl looking gorgeous and sophisticated, as well as sultry and sexy. Whether you’re going to the office or a special lunch or dinner, an outfit put together around a pencil skirt is always an A+ winner!

Change your clothes, change your mood, change your attitude!

So don’t let yourself have another bad day! Let the clothes that you choose to wear wipe all your melancholy away!

“I’m planning to stay in tonight and just watch some TV.”

“You can do that anytime. Hit the town with me.”

“I’m feeling real tired and I don’t have much energy.”

“Change out of your frumpy sweats and you’ll feel better immediately.”

“I’ll put on my favorite dress and heels and color my lips with red gloss.”

“Splendid. I’ll do the same and your sour mood you can toss!”

Clothes really do make the woman and the man. Merely by the garments you wear you can keep your emotions and feelings “grand!” Great attitude, I give you a hand!

Love them or dread them, skinny jeans aren’t going anywhere, except perhaps in your closet or wrapped on your body. The myth that skinny jeans can only be worn by thin people is just that, a myth. The term “skinny” as it relates to the jeans refers to the cut of the pants, as the pants fit straight up and down. Stretch skinny jeans work real well for expanding and fitting various body types.

Skinny jeans are worn by both men and women, generally have an extremely tight fit and have a tapered leg. Skinny jeans are made of denim. You know a true skinny jean by the snug fit through the legs, and the hem ends in a small leg opening that can be anywhere from 9 inches to 20 inches, depending on the size of the pants.

The skinny jeans style of pants are also known as slim-fit pants, drainpipes, stovepipes, tight pants, cigarette pants, pencil pants and skinnies.

Get the true skinny on skinny jeans!

In addition to blue denim, skinny jeans can be found in most all colors, and many times the pants material contains some spandex (2% to 4%), which makes the pants easier to put on and take off, and allows the fabric to cling to the body. Some styles of skinny jeans have bottom hems that actually hug the ankles.

Skinny jeans look great in both high waisted and hip hugger cuts. Depending on where you are going or what accessories you are wearing, you can dress down with skinny jeans, or ramp your look up. For a casual look, why not wear tennis shoes and a T-shirt along with your skinny jeans? For a look that is dressy and classy, go with denim skinny jeans, a silk blouse and four or five inch heels, preferably patent leather. This creates an aura that appears chic, stylish and trendy. Drape a strand of pearls around your neck to add the last splash of classic!

Since the 1950s, skinny jeans have come in and out of style. In contrast to the bell-bottoms that were huge in the 1970s, many punk rockers and glam band artists continued to wear tight skinny jeans (think Poison, Motley Crue and Bon Jovi).

Fashion is all about taking risks and finding your unique, signature style that works and defines you! Whether you’re a man or a woman, this famous saying holds: To thine own self be true!

Remember, wearing skinny jeans doesn’t mean you have to be a “skinny-minnie”! As long as your jeans fit well, and you feel like rocking the mainstream jeans, then you’ll look swell! For those of you who prefer the look of skinny jeans, yet you want a bit more room and comfort, there are cuts of jeans that come close to the skinny jean but leave your hips and legs a touch of breathing room!

Perhaps you’re someone who craves beauty and fashion, but doesn’t dare to wear much denim. Why not slink the stylish you into a new pair of jeans and become the denim diva star that you are? Wow, a brand new you! Who knew?

Skinny jeans are ideal for tucking into boots (ankle boots, knee high boots and/or thigh high boots) as the pants fit tight on the calves and ankles, allowing the pant legs to stay snug in the boot, and not slink up and out! No continuing to tuck your pant legs back into your boots all day! In some styles, zippers are needed at the bottom of the legs to help you pull the pants over your feet. I think skinny jeans with zippers near the feet are adorable and a visual fashion treat!

Sexy, sassy, stylish and keen, look your best in an alluring pair of skinny jeans, you gorgeous fashion machine!

“I need a pick me up today. Perhaps I’ll go to the mall.”

“A day of shopping and pampering ourselves helps us all.”

“I’m thinking of buying a black velvet blazer and a fitted pair of jeans.”

“You’ll look like a sexy siren vixen…truly make the fashion scene.”

“I might get a patent leather clutch and patent leather stiletto heels.”

“With bargain prices, the walking fashion plate will find great deals!”

Skinny Jeans: Steal the scene you denim diva queen!

Find me a man wearing a beautiful, alluring cologne and I’ll follow him most anywhere! There’s something about a man and his cologne that tends to drive women wild and force them to take notice. Be it the soothing scent, the sexiness of a man who isn’t afraid to show his feminine side and the thrill of the pleasant aroma, men who lather themselves in sweet yet manly cologne are downright masculine!

Men, if you doubt me, try this experiment. Step into an elevator wearing the beguiling aroma of cologne, along with three or four men who choose to go bare necked (no cologne). Make sure one female is in the elevator. I guarantee you, the woman who is trapped in an elevator with four or five probably very good looking men is only going to notice the “one” man who brings her nose and her senses to life with his very delicious scent of cologne. Manly!

The wonderful, sensual, romantic scent of a man in cologne brings a woman to life! It could be that one signature move that elevates a girlfriend to a wife!

Women’s (and men’s) love of smelling great cologne has a lot to do with our pheromones. A pheromone is a chemical that humans and animals produce that changes the behavior of another human or animal. In the case of men in cologne, the glorious scent alone can cause our frown to turn into a smile and our noticing of you to rise to an off the charts level. I give a serious “thank you” shout out to all men who wear cologne…I am so happy from the scent alone.

Facts About Pheromones:

1. Pheromones are similar to hormones but work outside the body.
2. Pheromones induce activity in other individuals, such as sexual arousal.
3. There are four types of pheromones: releaser; primer; signaler and modulator.

The nose knows! All men should wear cologne!

Our sense of smell is particularly powerful, keeping us women noticing scrumptious food, the scent of fresh, sweet flowers and the attractive and alluring smell of our men wearing their signature, favorite cologne!

Men, let your woman or barber pamper you, manscape and groom you to the ultimate perfection, adding a splash of cologne to take you in a “smells divine” direction!

“But I’m afraid cologne will sissify me!” you say. Not even one single day! A sultry, soft smelling cologne worn on your neck and wrists will cause your wives and/or girlfriends to give you an extra kiss! Ah, you have no idea how much she will appreciate this!

Men who bathe themselves (just don’t overdo it) in the powerful, intoxicating scent of a heavenly cologne will most likely have females following you home.

Why not give it a try? Once you’re styling, smiling and ready to take on the town, highlight your overall aura with a splash of yummy cologne and be the best smelling man around! You’ll smell and look like a million bucks, whether you’re cruising through the streets in a shiny BMW or looking masculine and sexy driving a truck!

Cologne, often times referred to as perfume for men, can be viewed as the cherry on the sundae. The final topping that puts a “put together” man completely together…and tops off his vibe of sex appeal and undeniable masculinity! A lethal combination!

Men, remember this equation and you won’t go wrong: Men + Cologne = A Turn On! Masculine and strong!

“Who is that man you’re walking so close behind?”

“I’m getting whiffs of his cologne when I stand nearby.”

“He’s going to think you’re stalking him or you don’t respect his space.”

“I can’t help it. The marvelous scent of his cologne shows he has great taste.”

“He’s entering the gym. Are you following him in there too?”

“Yes. Fit and he smells divine. What’s a girl to do?”

Cologne: Perfume for men. Give it a try. The fabulous results will show you why!

Sheer fabric, sometimes referred to as see-through clothing, is fabric which is made using thin thread and/or low density knit, and which results in a semi-transparent and flimsy cloth. Some fabrics become transparent when wet. Sheer clothing is often made with lace, mesh or sheer material that allows the wearer’s body or undergarments to be seen through the fabric. Other see-through materials include chiffon, georgette and fine-denier knits used in tights and stockings, dancewear and lingerie.

Sheer garments that look incredible when worn consist of pants, shirts, dresses and gowns!

The sheerness of a fabric is expressed as a numerical denier which ranges from 3 (extremely rare, very thin, barely visible) to 15 (standard sheer for stockings) up to 30 (semi opaque) until 100 (opaque). The materials which can be translucent include gossamer, silk, rayon and nylon. Sheer fabric comes in a wide variety of colors, with white and shades of white, such as cream, eggshell, winter white and ivory being very popular. Black is another great color for sheer clothing. In some cases, the sheer fabric is embellished with embroidered patterns or designs. Sheer beauty!

Wearing sheer clothing for the sheer pleasure of it!

Sheer fabric is extremely popular in evening gowns. As sheer clothing tends to look sultry, elegant and fashionable, dressy clothing is the perfect item to show off the beauty and bold look of sheer fabrics.

Sheer Fabric Fun Fact: Sheer fabrics wear well in warmer months, although they work all year round. Sheer fabrics look spectacular covering undergarments, providing a provocative yet conservative style at the same time. Throughout the 19th century women’s dresses, particularly for summer or evening wear, often featured transparent fabrics. However, these were almost always lined or worn over opaque undergarments, or  underdresses, so that the wearer’s modesty was preserved.

Wrapping your diva self in sheer clothing brings sheer delight!

A fashionable garment in the early 20th century was the “peekaboo waist”, a blouse made from sheer fabric. See-through and transparent clothing became very fashionable in the latter part of the 1960s. The see-through look was presented by fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, and in London, Ossie Clark presented sheer chiffon dresses intended to be worn without underwear. This trend led to jewelry designers creating “body jewelry” to be worn with sheer blouses and low-cut dresses.

Sheer clothing offsets a woman’s physique and beauty when worn with either long or short tresses!

Famous Portraits Showing Women in Sheer Clothing:

  2. Point de Convention
  3. Portrait of Lady Elizabeth Levesen Gower

See-through materials of various kinds continue to be available for a wide range of clothing styles. Sheer fabrics have been featured on high-fashion runways since 2006. This use of see-through fabrics as a common element in designer clothing resulted in the “sheer fashion trend” that has been predominant in fashion circles since 2008.

Sheer fabrics, due to their sultry, soft, elegant appeal and allure work well as material to use in true haute couture!

Sheer Fabric: High end clothing, for sure!

Sheer Clothing Fun Fact: A see-through dress worn by Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, to a charity fashion show in 2002 was sold at auction on March 17, 2011 for $127,500.

“My see-through garments look fantastic whether I’m off to a party or merely strolling.”

“You do wear them well, presenting dainty undergarments and a little bit of skin.”

“In order to pull this look off you should be 100 percent comfortable in the skin you’re in.”

“You do move like a fashionista…sensual, confident with much sass and style.”

If it’s all in the eyes, and the eyes are the windows to our souls, why not draw from the magnetism, mystery and hard-to-read feline that is the cat? Cats very much beat to their own drum, and live their nine lives on their own terms, answering to none!

Everyone, even if you aren’t a cat lover, are drawn into cats’ eyes! Mysterious, mesmerizing and wise!

In the realm of fashion and cosmetics, the cat eye is a dramatic, classic look that often takes time and practice to master to perfection. The flick, or wing, is the toughest, but by far the most important, part of creating the perfect cat eye. With the help of eye shadow, mascara, and the infamous eyeliner, you can wear the alluring, appealing, coveted cat eye to sheer magnetic genius.

The cosmetic item that makes the distinct cat eye like no other is all in the eyeliner. Heavy, thick, usually black eyeliner, drawn out as the flick or the wing.

Eyeliner Fun Fact: Eyeliner is a cosmetic used to define the eyes. It is applied around the contours of the eye(s) to create a variety of aesthetic effects. Eyeliner was first used in Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia as a dark black line around the eyes. As early as 10,000 BC, Egyptians and Mesopotamians wore various cosmetics, including eyeliner, not only for visual effect but to protect the skin from the desert sun. The characteristic of having heavily lined eyes has been frequently depicted in ancient Egyptian art.

The Cat Eye: Slinky, sultry, sensational!

How to Make the Dramatic Cat Eye with Eyeliner:

  1. Put on the eye shadow of your choice, starting at the lash line and extending out to the crease of the eye.
  2.  Find the right angle for your wing (the extended line made with eyeliner that gives a slimming, catlike appearance to the eye).
  3. Make a dot to indicate the tip of your wing on each eye.
  4. Draw a line connecting the dot to the outer corner of your eye.
  5. Draw another line connecting the dot to the middle of your upper lash line.
  6. Fill in the outline you have made.
  7. Clean up any mistakes with a pointed Q-tip.
  8. Draw a thin line along your upper lash line, beginning at the inside corner of your eye, near your tear duct.
  9. Thicken the line as it gets closer toward the outer corner of your eye.
  10. Extend the eyeliner past the corner of your eyes.
  11. Finish with heavy, thick black mascara for a look that is provocative, sexy and dramatic!

Cat Eye Tip: If you have a round eye try a thicker wing and line. If you prefer to extend your lash line and make your eyes look bigger, draw a curved line instead of a straight line. Make sure that the line is curving downward!

How to perfect cat eyes to the cats meow!

The perfect cat eye is all in the eyeliner!

Eyeliner Fun Fact: Eyeliner is commonly used in a daily makeup routine to define the eye and/or create the look of a wider or smaller eye. Eyeliner can be used as a tool to create various looks, as well as highlighting different features of the eyes. Eyeliner can be placed in various parts of the eye to create different looks with a winged eyeliner or tight lined at the waterline.

Tight lining is the use of eyeliner against the waterline and under the lashes of the upper lid, and above the lashes of the lower lid. Tight lining is a technique which makes the eyelashes appear to start father back on the eyelid, thus making them look longer. Gel eyeliner and a small angled brush work best to create this look.

Eyeliner can be drawn above upper lashes or below lower lashes, or both. Eyeliner’s primary purpose it is to make the lashes look lush and long, but it also draws attention to the eye, and can enhance or even change the eye’s shape.

Eyeliner Fun Fact: Eyeliner is available in a wide range of hues, from the common black (mega-dramatic), brown, gray, bright primary colors, pastels, frosty silvers, golds and glitter-flecked colors.

Slink yourself into any room in any town with a dramatic, mysterious cat eye wing in a daring black or brown!

Cat eyes are simply stunning!

In order to make the most exquisite, energizing cat eye, your eyeliner should be clearly defined. Save a smudged or lighter eyeliner for a more subtle, yet still beautiful, eye.

The Five Main Types of Eyeliner Available on the Market:

  1. Gel Eyeliner: A softer, gel liner.
  2. Kohl Eyeliner: A soft powder available in dark matte shades.
  3. Liquid Eyeliner: An opaque liquid that usually comes in a small bottle and is typically applied with a small sharp-tipped brush.
  4. Powder Based Eyeliner:  Eyeliner that comes in a wood pencil.
  5. Wax Based Eyeliner: Pencils are softer pencils and contain waxes that ease application.

Whichever eyeliner you choose, whichever wing type you prefer, when drawing the perfect cat eyes, you’ll create a sultry purr!

Traditional wax based eyeliners are made from about 20 components. Stearyl heptanoate is found in most cosmetic eyeliner. Typical pigments include black iron oxide, as well as smaller amounts of titanium dioxide and Prussian blue.

“I think I’ll spend my time at home tonight attempting to master the cat.”

“I saw you as a dog lover…I would have never guessed cat. Imagine that!”

“You know I’m a true glamour girl. I’m referring to drawing on the perfect cat eyes.”

“The trick is all in the eyeliner. Black, heavy, dramatic, thick, altering the eye size.”

“The perfect cat eye needs the wing or the flick to extend out past the corner of the eye.”

“I believe you’ll master the mysterious, alluring, sultry cat eye on your very first try!”

Cat Eyes: No matter your skin type, skin tone, eye shape or eye color, if you enter the party with marvelous cat eyes you’ll stand out like no other!
