With so many cosmetic lines available on the market, both walk-in and online stores promoting major sales and price reductions on numerous beauty and skincare items, do you as the consumer really benefit from product sales and gimmicks?

Ulta Beauty Inc. is a chain of beauty stores in the United States, headquartered in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Ulta Beauty carries cosmetics and skincare brands, men’s and women’s fragrances, and hair care products. Ulta Beauty has both walk-in and online stores, and all walk-in stores are equipped with a salon. Twice a year, usually in the months of March and September, Ulta has a 21-day sale where select brands or items give huge discounts for one day. Each day throughout the 21 days has at least two beauty steals, with discounts up to 50% off. Ulta also promotes Hot Buys which run through the entire 21-day sale. Along with the events, you are usually offered Beauty Samplers and Try Me Kits. These deals come from Ulta’s upcoming catalog and their online link. All listed deals are available both in-store and online unless the deal is listed as an online exclusive. Another sales technique used by Ulta is free shipping for Platinum and Diamond members and free shipping with a $50.00 or more purchase for UltaMate members.

For all you fashion and beauty lovers and for those of you that occasionally glam up, is Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty worth the hype? Yes!

Our fascination with cosmetics, skin and hair care products is evident, as the beauty industry racks in billions of dollars in sales annually.

If you receive an Ulta catalog in your mailbox announcing their upcoming 21 Days of Beauty deals and browse the magazine, you’ll see why Ulta’s bi-annual sale benefits both Ulta and you as the consumer. Leading up to the event, if you actually shop in the store before the sale begins, it’s all too easy to get lured into eyeing not only the beauty items you plan to purchase at that time, but additional items will catch your eye, and you’ll think “Why not? I’ll buy those during the 21-day sale.” There is something about thinking you got a bargain and are spending your hard earned money wisely that makes you feel good and satisfied!

Another way Ulta’s 21-day sale is a success is because if you spread your purchases out over a number of days, you’ll feel like you’re spending less money overall, as opposed to one large purchase in one day. Then by tossing in free shipping for any order over $50.00, you’ll naturally hike your cart price up while you’re shopping, which even though you’ve spent more money, you’re happy because you saved on the shipping!

If you’re someone who buys a large number of cosmetics and beauty products throughout the year, then Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty is a great promotional sale for you. Ulta carries their own brand, as well as a large supply of major brand cosmetic products, so you’ll have numerous makeup, fragrance, skincare and hair care items to choose from. Some people prefer certain brands while others will mix and match their cosmetic choices, and you have this preference made available to you through Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty. You can buy all your favorite reduced items in one store or on one online website, over a 21 day period.

There’s a great reason why Ulta advertises their 21 Days of Beauty as “Beauty’s Biggest Event,” because to cosmetics lovers and beauty gurus, it is!

Watch for Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty and shop away. Every guy and gal uses skin and hair care products so you’ll certainly find items you will love and get your money’s worth out of, and save money in the process. Your price reduced purchases will feel like a major success.

Put Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty frenzy to the test. A cosmetic and beauty lover’s best!

Whether you’re walking the runway, stepping into the office, or strolling a mall, how you look and feel is paramount to how you approach and tackle your day. From your clothes to your hair to your makeup and skin care, beauty and fashion elevate every aspect of your mood and confidence, allowing you to share your unique signature style and gifts with the world.

Beauty and fashion are topics that are important and revered worldwide. From fashion designers to people in all facets of jobs and careers, glitz and glam are alluring to everyone.

For the beauty-minded, cosmetics are fun, striking, and magnetic — much like an artist painting a portrait on a canvas. Cosmetics are products that enhance or alter the appearance or fragrance of the body. Many cosmetics are designed for your face and hair. Common cosmetics include lipstick, lip gloss, mascara, eyeshadow, foundation, rouge, skin cleansers, skin lotions, shampoo, hair styling products, perfume, and cologne. Cosmetics applied to the face to enhance your appearance are often referred to as makeup.

Other areas of cosmetics and beauty that are all the rave, and definitely a stunning fave, are false eyelashes, nail polish, eyebrow pencils, face powders, concealers, toners, and facial masks. Cosmetics that are used on the face and eye area are usually applied with a brush, a sponge, or your fingertips.

Beauty Tip: How you wear your makeup and enhance your face is all up to you. Show your individuality by running your own beauty race! Gorgeous you!

In addition to achieving beauty through cosmetics, there is no denying the global passion and love affair with fashion. Fashion is a popular style or practice involving clothing, footwear, makeup, and hairstyle. As distinctive as it is, fashion constantly changes and determines how a person dresses.

Popular fashion trends are influenced by several factors:

1. Political Influences
2. Social Influences
3. Technology Influences
4. Economical Influences

Fashion makes a major statement without stating a verbal word. From haute couture to grunge: beauty and fashion appeal to everyone!

Whether you’re a diehard fashion diva or someone who prefers a more dress down casual style, we’ve all heard the term haute couture. What exactly does that phrase mean? Haute couture is French for “high sewing” or “high dressmaking” and is the creation of exclusive custom-fitted clothing. True haute couture is high-end fashion that is hand-made from start to finish. Oftentimes, it is made from high quality, special fabric and is sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable professionals.

However, to the avid fashion lover, all clothes are fine, and style is merely a personal preference. Dressing down doesn’t have to mean sloppy duds. Oftentimes inexpensive, casual outfits that are mixed and matched become sheer perfection when wrapped around the wearer. Also, fashion fads and trends can be playful, youthful, and provocative.

Remember grunge? Grunge is making a comeback in a major way. Grunge is an anti-fashion movement which emerged in Seattle’s subculture in the mid-80s and reached global popularity in the 90s. From clothing, accessories, hairstyles, and music, grunge was embraced by the Generation X as a statement that contrasts from the flashy excessiveness of 80s mainstream fashion. Grunge is characterized by durable and timeless thrift-store clothing, often worn in a loose, androgynous manner to de-emphasize one’s body shape. 90s icons like Kurt Cobain, Courtney Love, and bands like Pearl Jam helped popularize grunge fashion.

Whether you’re jamming through your day in business or pleasure, the garments you are wearing are your absolute treasure!

Regardless if you’re a beauty or fashion maverick or a novice, one thing is for sure…glitz and glam make the woman or man!

There’s no denying that pencil skirts are indeed a wonderful fashion garment to write home about! Hail the pencil skirt! With its slinky cut and hip hugging style, the pencil skirt takes top honors in skirt types in my opinion!

As you know, a skirt is the lower part of a dress or gown, covering the wearer from the waist downwards, or a separate garment serving the same purpose. A pencil skirt is a slim fitting skirt with a straight, narrow cut, giving the skirt its slinky, sensual look. Generally the hem stops at, or just below, the knee and is tailored for a close, tight fit. The pencil skirt gets its name for its long, slim cut, much like a pencil.

Pencil skirts can be worn as separate clothing or as part of a suit. Do you want a professional, businesslike look? Add a blazer and a white blouse with your pencil skirt. Are you out for a different vibe, say sexy, sensual and youthful? Pencil skirts and crop tops make a sensational combination. Add patent leather high heels or sandal stilettos for a look that is sophisticated, trendy and chic! Sexy sirens adore pencil skirts!

Narrow fitting skirts are a popular staple in women’s fashion. The predecessor to the pencil skirt is the hobble skirt, a pre World War I fad. The hobble skirt fits tight at the hem, which impedes walking with long strides. One is forced to walk in small, shorter steps, which almost gives off a hobble effect. Hence, the hobble skirt was named!

Due to the pencil skirt’s tight, slinky fit, running or riding a bicycle can be quite challenging. Getting into and out of a vehicle takes practice. But if you master the art  of strutting gracefully in a pretty pencil skirt, the outstanding look you give off is like no other!

Fans of the pencil skirt? Pencil me in!

For those of you that adore pencil skirts, and all skirts, this one is for you!

Popular Types of Skirts:

  1. A-line Skirt: A skirt with a slight flare, roughly in the shape a capital letter A.
  2. Bell Shaped Skirt: Flared from the waist out.
  3. Circle Skirt: A skirt cut in sections to make one or more circles with a hole for the waist, so the skirt is full but hangs smoothly from the waist without darts or pleats.
  4. Culottes: A garment constructed like a pair of shorts but hangs like a skirt.
  5. Full Skirt: A skirt with fullness gathered into the waistband.
  6. Pleated Skirt: A skirt with fullness reduced in the waist by means of regular pleats or folds, which can be attached flat to the hip level or free hanging.
  7. Short Skirt: A skirt with the hemline well above the knees.
  8. Wraparound Skirt: A skirt that wraps around the waist with an overlap of material.

For those of you into fashion fads, some darling skirts are: ballerina skirts, cargo skirts, denim skirts, hobble skirts, leather skirts, maxi skirts, miniskirts, poodle skirts, sarongs, skater skirts and trouser skirts.

Since the 1970s, the rise of women wearing pantsuits has become an option for casual and formal wear, however one can never go wrong when you attend an event dressed in a perfectly popular pencil skirt. A pencil skirt gives off an aura of business and pleasure, whether worn at the office or at an event of leisure!

If you’re getting ready for an elegant night on the town and would like to buy yourself a fashionable outfit consisting of a ruffled blouse, a strand of pearls, 5″ high heeled shoes and a radiant pencil skirt, pencil me in! I’ll shop with you until we drop (or at least find the most gorgeous pencil skirts in the store)! Could a true glamour girl really want more?

Genuine leather always looks like a touch above. Think leather sofas and furniture, car upholstery and clothing. From leather boots to leather dresses, leather jackets to leather purses, leather clothing items carry off a look of fine, luxurious fashion.

Leather is a durable and flexible material created by tanning animal rawhide, mostly cattle hide. Leather can be produced at manufacturing scales ranging from cottage industry to heavy industry. Leather is produced in a wide variety of types and styles and decorated by a wide range of techniques. The earliest record of leather artifacts dates back to 2200 BC.

The leather manufacturing process is divided into three subprocesses:

  1. Preparatory Stage: This is where the hide is prepared for tanning. Processes include liming, deliming, hair removal, degreasing, bleaching and pickling.
  2. Tanning Stage: This process stabilizes the proteins of the raw hide so that it doesn’t putrefy, making it suitable for a wide variety of applications.
  3. Crusting Stage: This is the process that thins and lubricates the leather, including coloring operations. Chemicals added during crusting must be fixed in place. Crusting brings on the drying and softening process of the leather, including splitting, shaving, dyeing, whitening and other methods.

How do you keep your luscious leather garments water resistant? By applying oils such as mink oil, neatsfoot oil, or a similar material that keeps the leather supple and improves its lifespan dramatically.

I remember when I was in high school I bought myself the most gorgeous pair of knee high, burgundy leather boots. I also bought a $100 container of leather oil to apply to my beautiful boots to keep them looking lovely and new!

Various Tanning Methods Include:

  1. Vegetable Tanned Leather
  2. Chrome Tanned Leather
  3. Aldehyde Tanned Leather
  4. Brain Tanned Leather
  5. Alum Leather

Leather is a durable, stunning, comfortable type of clothing to wear in all types of weather!

Loving on the leather look!

Leather Fun Fact: Today, most genuine leather is made from cattle hides, which constitute about 65% of all leather produced. Other animals that are used for leather include sheep, goats, pigs, horses, lambs and kangaroos. Ostriches are now becoming known for producing ostrich leather.  Of course there is also synthetic leather, which looks like the real thing but is manufactured from materials that aren’t living animals!

In addition to looking chic and trendy, leather clothing maintains excellent resistance to abrasion and wind. For this reason, leather clothing is used in many occupations. Think sturdy leather work boots, and of course the always recognizable black leather motorcycle jacket. Happening leather action for complete leather satisfaction!

Top Leather Grades Include:

  1. Top Grain Leather
  2. Full Grain Leather
  3. Corrected Grain Leather
  4. Split Leather
  5. Patent Leather (My favorite…so shiny and fancy)
  6. Bonded Leather

No matter what color leather you prefer to wear, and if the hemline goes from here to there, step out in luscious leather without a fashion care!

Leather clothing truly becomes you! Fill your fashion closet with garments of leather. “I have way too much leather in my closet,” said no one ever!

If boots are made for walking, they’re certainly made for styling with each and every step. Boots are both practical and fashionable footwear that generally covers the foot and ankle, and some the lower calves, knees and thighs. Boots clear up your thighs? Oh my!

Most boots have a heel that is clearly distinguishable from the rest of the sole, even if the two are made from one piece. Many boots are made from leather, patent leather or rubber, but can be made from a variety of materials. Although boots such as work boots and construction boots are designed for practical reasons, most boots worn today are for fashion and style. Hence, may I introduce you to rocking knee high, thigh high and slouch boots? Righteous!

Slouch boots look anything but slouchy!

Slouch boots get their name because the leg of the boot fits loose and rippled, as opposed to tight or straight up and down.

Early boots consisted of separate leggings, soles and uppers worn together to provide greater ankle protection than shoes or sandals. Around 1000 BC, these components were more permanently joined to form a single unit that covered the foot and lower leg, often up to the knee. Step in fashion and aesthetic design and boots that went over the knee and up the thigh became high on the priority list. Knee high, thigh high and slouch boots, when worn with dresses and skirts, take your outfit to off the chart levels that are sky high!

You fashion diva vixen you, don’t be shy!  Give these sexy boots a try!

Boots Fun Fact: The early Dutch Masters were the first to define the boot in European iconography, in spite of the fact that the Chinese had been using footwear that the Frenchman or Portuguese sailor of the day would have recognized as a boot for centuries at that time. Historians agree that the first codified definition of the boot was entered into law by Royal decree during the Hundred Years’ War, noted by the Duke of Wales. European boots were influenced by military styles, featuring thick soles and turnover tops that were originally designed to protect horse mounted soldiers.

Today, boots of all types are worn for all occasions!

Popular Types of Boots Include:

  1. Ankle Boots
  2. Calf High Boots
  3. Knee High Boots
  4. Thigh High Boots
  5. Slouch Boots
  6. Cowboy Boots
  7. Cowgirl Boots
  8. Construction Boots
  9. Work Boots
  10. Rain Boots
  11. Snake Skin Boots

So many styles of boots to choose from when dancing the Boot Scoot Boogie!

Any time you’re going out for a night on the town and you want to take center stage, slip on a pair of knee high, thigh high or slouch boots and you’ll become all the rage! The best thing about boots? They look great and stay in style no matter what your age!

Get the latest scoop on knee high, thigh high and slouch boots!

A rocking, trendy pair of boots look lovely when worn with skirts and dresses, particularly pencil skirts and miniskirts. Another fantastic way to pull off a beautiful pair of boots is by tucking your straight legged jeans or pants into the leg of the boot. Always in style and sure to give you a fashion plate smile!

I’d walk a mile or more in a glorious pair of boots that I simply adore!

Whether you prefer boots with a flat sole, a wedge sole or heels so high you can touch the sky, I highly recommend giving knee high boots, thigh high boots and the always fashionable slouch boots a try.

My oh my, you and our boots look absolutely magnetic when you strut on by!

If you’re like most women, and some men, you never leave your house without your purse or handbag. With so many styles of bags (tote, satchel, clutch, shoulder strap, hobo) to name a few, and many colors and designers to choose from, purse and handbag lovers could carry a different bag every day of the year and never use the same one.

For most of us, even the deepest of purse adorers, we do carry the same bag frequently. Fashion lovers tend to, well, fall in love with their handbags, and for good reason. A rocking purse or handbag can spruce up an outfit much the same way as a sensational pair of shoes! For those of you with lots to carry, the tote bag will be a perfect purse for you.

A handbag or purse is often fashionably designed and used to carry personal items. A “tote” is a large double handed bag with an open top and an open main compartment. The straps of tote bags tend to be parallel and large enough to sling the bag over your shoulder, and the bag itself is often large and boxy.

Tote Bag Fun Fact: The tote is generally made of sturdy cloth, often using thick leather at its handles or bottom; leather versions often have a pebbled surface. Common fabrics used for totes include heavy canvas (often dyed and treated to resist moisture and mold), jute, nylon, easy care synthetics and natural fibers.

The term ‘tote’ means “to carry,” and can be traced back to the 17th century, but wasn’t used to describe handbags until 1900. The major tote bag craze in the United States began in the 1940s with the release of L.L. Bean’s Boat Bag in 1944. Because they were easier and less cumbersome than carrying luggage, most people opted for using tote bags.

During the 1950s, tote bags began to enter mainstream culture. Come the 1960s, the tote bag began to embrace personal style (as many practical items do that get crossed over into fashion), at which time Bonnie Cashin released her own line of tote bags called Cashin Carry Tote Bags, which combined style and functionality. And…the tote as a fashion staple purse was born! To be carried, adorned and worn!

Canvas tote bags have been sold as a more eco-friendly replacement for disposable plastic bags given how they can be used multiple times over. Many stores offer inexpensive or even free tote bags at the register, and they have become a common marketing tool stamped with logos and used by nonprofit businesses as promotional gifts.

Many people prefer carrying tote bags not only for their stylish appeal, but also for the size. For those of you who carry many items, totes are both pleasing to look at and practical. Let’s face it…you can stuff many, many “can’t leave the house without them” items in a tote bag! Fabulous totes that will float your boat!

Purse and Handbag Fun Fact: Early modern Europeans wore purses for one sole purpose: to carry coins. Purses were made of soft fabric or leather and were worn by men as often as women. The modern purse, clutch, pouch or handbag came about in England during the Industrial Revolution, in part due to the increase in travel by railway.

With so many colors, fabrics and designs available to spice up your tote bag, all fashion divas should invest in a trending tote that will match any outfit and be practical to boot. A real style treat for the glamorous you!

Terrific totes truly will float your boat!

All glamour girls know that one secret to a perfect makeup job is applying just the right amount of concealer and foundation to your face. Both concealer and foundation are used to make the skin appear more uniform in color and blemish free. Generally, concealers are more heavily pigmented than foundations and can be used alone or applied underneath a light coat of foundation.

To differentiate between the two cosmetics, concealer is used to mask dark circles, age spots. large pores and other small blemishes visible on the skin. It is similar to foundation, but thicker, and used to hide different pigments by blending the imperfection into the surrounding skin tone. Foundation is a skin colored makeup applied to the face to cover flaws and/or change the natural skin tone. Some foundations also function as moisturizers, sunscreens and astringent base layers.

In a complete facial makeover, concealer is applied first and foundation is applied over the concealer. This gives you the canvas for applying various cosmetics to your face and creating makeup magic!

Although concealers and foundations add a gorgeous glow to your skin when applied correctly, if used too heavily and the cosmetics don’t match your skin tone, they can turn into makeup that cakes up! So how do you apply the perfect amount of concealer and foundation that makes your skin look youthful and near makeup free?

How to Avoid Makeup Cake Face:

1. Do not apply a thick foundation over your entire face. Foundation is meant to even out your skin tone, but when applied it should be almost invisible. Dot concealer on any ruddy or blemished areas, then cover up uneven spots like the cheeks, around the nose and the chin with foundation.

2. As we age, our skin tends to lose moisture. This can lead to makeup cake face. Keep your skin as moisturized as possible by drinking lots of water and applying a moisturizing cream to your face underneath the concealer and foundation.

3. Apply a foundation primer. Foundation primers settle into your pores, fine lines, wrinkles, and even out blemishes so that your foundation glides on smoothly.

4. Make sure your concealer and foundation match your skin tone.

Concealers and foundations come in both powder and liquid formulas. For gorgeous, glowing skin with no makeup cake up, brush a small amount of translucent face powder over your foundation. This will create a blemish free base to work with when applying eye shadow, blush and lip gloss, as well as blend your concealer and foundation together to give off a “perfect” face!

Both concealers and foundations are available in a variety of shades, although concealers tend to be more  heavily pigmented. When applying foundation, try to match your skin tone or go one shade darker than your natural skin tone to avoid makeup lines and see preferred results. Concealers with yellow undertones are used to hide dark circles. Don’t go with white concealers as this can sometimes cause a gray hue where applied.

Love the skin that you’re in by applying just the right amount of concealer and foundation, ensuring your makeup flatters your face and doesn’t cake up!

You now look magnificent. Go attend that brunch, concert, baby shower or birthday party in style. Let the only cake in the room be on the table and not your face! Win the makeup glamour race with your exquisite cosmetic taste!

In the realm of cosmetics, mascara is by far one of the main makeup items that brings out the luster and allure of your eyes and face.  Mascara is a cosmetic used to enhance the eyelashes by darkening, thickening, lengthening and/or defining the eyelashes. Mascara normally comes in three forms – liquid, cake or cream – and is made using various formulas. Most mascaras contain the basic components of pigments, oils, waxes and preservatives.

With the majority of mascara colors being shades of black and brown, colored mascara is a refreshing change and can be used to highlight and magnetize your eyes. Ways to wear colored mascara is matching the mascara shade with your eye color or eye shadows, or matching your color of mascara with your lipstick and/or your outfit. No matter how you choose to wear it, colored mascara is chic, cool and fun for everyone.

Cool colors for a magical mascara experience!

As all fashion divas know, aesthetic adornment is a cultural universal practice. The beauty business is a billion dollar industry and revered worldwide. Mascara can be documented in ancient Egypt. Records from around 4000 BC refer to a substance called kohl that was used to darken eyelashes, eyelids and eyebrows. If you want to grasp the true allure of mascara and long, luscious eyelashes, coat one eye with heavy black mascara and leave the other eye  mascara free. Check your look in the mirror. The eye that has lashes coated with mascara will look larger and more noticeable than the bare eye. Give it a try!

Colored mascaras come in shades of purple, blue, green, gold, silver, pink and orange, to name a few. For the cosmetics lover who has so many choices, what’s a gal to do? Much like you mix and match your lipstick and blush shades, why not experiment with various colors of mascara? Even if you prefer blackest black (definitely my preference) doing something different and ramping up the colors of your mascara will give you a new look and elevate your mood. Let colored mascara change your beauty  attitude!

Mascara Fun Fact: Mascara is used around the world on a daily basis. In 2016, U.S. consumers (this includes me) spent 335.6 million dollars on the top 10 leading brands of mascara. Yes, the beauty and makeup business is truly a much adored universal business. Most mascaras have a shelf life of two to four months. If you ever find your mascara stick drying out, merely add a few drops of water to the brush before inserting the brush into the mascara stick, and the mascara will once again go on thick and lustrous. Swipe away the glamour girl way!

Top brands of excellent mascaras include L’Oreal, Revlon and Maybelline. I use L’Oreal Voluminous and love the product. You can find mascaras on the market that include lash-boosting serums, botanicals and pro-vitamin enriched formulas, along with waterproof mascaras.

Mascara Removal: I have found that petroleum jelly works best for removing mascara! Eye makeup removal creams are also available in finer stores, drug stores and beauty supply stores.

For eyes that sparkle, shimmer and shine, make sure to have plenty of colored mascaras filling up your makeup drawer! That’s for sure!

It was announced in the news today that Michael Kors Buys High-Fashion Label Versace for $2.2 Billion. Michael Kors Holdings Ltd. will buy Italian fashion label Gianni Versace SpA for 1.83 billion euros ($2.2 billion), bringing the American luxury company closer to its goal of becoming an international house of fashion brands. Versace adds high end couture credibility and heritage to Kors. Last year, Versace had revenue of 686 million euros and returned to profit. Donatella Versace is the house’s creative director and will continue to lead the company’s creative vision. She and her brother, Santo, will become shareholders in Michael Kors. CNBC

If you follow fashion, you are familiar with lead brands such as Michael Kors and Versace, along with Gucci, Calvin Klein, Vera Wang, Coach and many more.  What is behind the world’s fascination with purchasing and wearing designer clothing and designer purses?

Calvin Klein, Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce & Gabbana, Steve Madden, Coach, Gucci, Guess: the list of famous fashion designers goes on. Shopping online or in finer stores presents you with numerous clothing items and purses/handbags with a status symbol designer label attached.

Have you ever wondered what it is about designer fashion products that intrigue the public and have become so popular around the world? Certain knock-offs often look the same, and store brands can look and feel just as attractive and appealing. Yet if our clothes or handbags are kissed by a designer manufacturer and label, it somehow makes us feel more stylish and powerful.

It’s all in the power of the name, and the way you feel about yourself when you wear and hold your favorite designer name of choice.

The glory of the bag! The handbag/purse is the one item that every designer brand counts on to bring in major sales. Every season the showrooms of the world’s biggest fashion houses are filled with new ranges of bags to tempt you. Devoted public relation campaigns present the newest and most distinguished details of the handbags, from the material used to the clasps and handles. Let’s not forget the inside of the bag. Oftentimes, the fabric that lines the inside is just as attractive and expensive as the outside look of the purse.

Your handbag is often viewed as a way to convey your individual style to the world. Beautiful, alluring purses not only hold your personal items. They make you feel good as well, especially when you have matched the bag to your outfit.

Designer clothing works in the same way. Sure, many lovely pantsuits, dresses, or blouses fill the racks of stores, but sew a Calvin Klein or Versace label on the garment, and see how the clothes look and feel even lovelier when you put them on. Designer brands exude a feeling of being rich or classy attached to them. This feeling begins in your mind, as it all boils down to how you feel about yourself when you are wrapped in designer clothing. A brand doesn’t necessarily sell clothes or products, it sells hope that you will look as good in their items as the models do, and leave you with a feeling of status and charm.

Oftentimes, designer branded clothing and purses are made with better fabrics, have a better fit and an all-around better quality. People are willing to pay high-end dollars for designer products, but they expect the products to be made of a finer quality and last far longer than less expensive fashion items.

Isabel Marant RTW Fall 2018

For most women, our handbags and clothing are items that combine the virtues of practicality and utility along with displaying our personal taste and style. Designer brands often come attached with a feeling of power and economic prosperity, which makes us feel good and successful. Designer clothing for men is as popular as branded garments for women.

Everyone relates to their own identity and prefers to look chic and cool in their choice of dress. Wearing designer clothes isn’t something to obsess about but it certainly can be fun, even if you only splurge for your favorite designer label once in a while.

No matter how busy, fun and energetic our lives are, we all need an occasional mood boost. For those days when you’re not reeling in excitement or busyness, or perhaps you’re  feeling blah or a bit off, generally two things lift your mood! Food and/or makeup. So at these times reach for those potato chips or French fries, or experiment with cosmetics in your makeup drawer. Your not so good mood will vanish and rule no more!

Get an instant mood boost from these simple beauty products!

6 Beauty Products that Brighten Your Mood:

  • Ravishing Red or Barbie Pink Lipstick: As a fashion and makeup buff, I feel that all shades of lipstick act as mood enhancers, but colors of ravishing reds and Barbie pink lipsticks take the cake. If you doubt me, just try it. When your lips are coated in reds and pinks, your entire face stands out, and this ups your mood. It’s hard to feel blah or down when your ruby painted lips light up the town!

  • Too Faced Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Palette: As we enter into the fall, why not paint your eyes in shades of oranges, golds, tans and peach? This eye shadow palette offers numerous colors to choose from and tends to last once applied. For those of you that prefer to stick to blue, green or purple eye shadows, why not change your routine and shoot for the gold? Too peachy!

  • False Eyelashes: If you want to watch your mood go from a 5 to a 10 in no time, put on a pair of false eyelashes. I feel natural long eyelashes, or false eyelashes, are the number one beauty item to bring out the luster of your face. No matter what event you are attending, or what clothes you are wearing, add false eyelashes and high heels and rev up your outfit and your mood in seconds!

IT Bye Bye Under Eye Cream: Sleep is a beautiful thing, but for many of us, it’s very hard to get a full 8 hours of sleep a night. The result? Bags or black marks under the eyes. To cover these bags and rejuvenate your eyes and your appearance, try IT Bye Bye Under Eye Cream. You may be dog tired, but your eyes won’t show it and no one else will know it! Say Bye Bye to under eye bags!

  • Glamour Nail Art: Most everyone adores a professional manicure and pedicure, especially when you’ve earned it by working so hard. You deserve a break. After your next pro manicure, or even a do it yourself manicure, paint your nails with a glamorous, classy polish and nail art. Colorful, fun nails look cute and youthful, but sometimes you want to feel like a sophisticated fashion gal. Go for black polish with strips of gold, or add rhinestones and gems. Gorgeous and classy!

  • Estee Lauder Beautiful Sheer Perfume: Now that you’ve dolled yourself up and improved your mood, top it off with a splash of Estee Lauder Beautiful Sheer perfume. The fabulous scent of this perfume is neither too heavy or too light, but perfectly right. For perfume that smells delicious but doesn’t over power, Beautiful Sheer continues to smell good hour by hour.

When you find yourself needing an instant mood boost, beauty products never disappoint. For those of you that prefer a more natural look, if you glam yourself up only once in a while you’ll adore the finished look! A definite glamour girl will be hooked!
