Long, beautiful eyelashes can definitely make you stand out in a crowd. When your lustrous lashes are real, as opposed to fake eyelashes or eyelash extensions, your eyes will be noticed with or without eye makeup. There is something about long eyelashes that looks absolutely lovely. Dark, full eyebrows and long, thick eyelashes bring out the true allure of your face.

Long, voluptuous eyelashes are a symbol of natural beauty and are an asset to any face. If you prefer extended, natural eyelashes there are easy, inexpensive ways to grow out your own enchanting lashes. Just like the hair on your head, your eyelashes and eyebrows need nourishment to grow and ensure that your vixen lashes remain extended and eye catching.

Bat your eyes for the good news! There are ways to grow thicker, longer, stronger and healthier natural eyelashes!

Natural Ways to Grow Long Eyelashes:

1. Use a lash lengthening gel underneath your mascara. Some lengthening gels not only grow and lengthen your own lashes, but the gel also conditions and protects your eyelashes, making your lashes stronger.
2. Apply olive oil or castor oil to your eyelashes before you go to bed. Rub the oil between your thumb and finger, then pat the oil onto your eyelashes, or use a clean mascara brush to apply.
3. Apply petroleum jelly to your eyelashes. Let the petroleum jelly sink into your lashes overnight, then wash the jelly off in the morning.
4. Avoid eyelash curlers! Eyelash curlers have a tendency to pull out and/or break your eyelashes, especially if you use the curler on lashes coated with mascara.
5. Eat a nutritious, well balanced diet high in B vitamins and protein. Your eyelashes need to be fed a healthy diet to grow thick and full, just like the hair on your head.
6. Glycerin and egg whites mixed with castor oil, applied to your eyelashes, feeds and strengthens your lashes.
7. Invest in a good eye makeup remover that allows for your mascara to come off easily, where you don’t have to scrub or tug at your lashes.

Once you’ve grown your eyelashes to a lovely length, why not book a pamper session with a Mobile Styles health and beauty expert? Treat yourself to a complete makeover that will make your entire face shine and glow as you go through your busy day.

In order to ensure that your natural, long eyelashes stand out even more, apply two coats of black mascara and watch your pretty peepers come to life. Long, dark, thick eyelashes do wonders for highlighting your face. I say that if I could only wear one cosmetic my choice would be mascara (with lipstick a close second)! The first thing people notice when they look at your face is your eyes. Long, mascara coated eyelashes help beautify and enlarge the size of your eyes. Sheer glamour!

As a cosmetics guru, did you know that you can actually change your overall appearance merely by what color lipstick or lip gloss you choose to swipe on? Just like with your clothing, in addition to your look, changing the color of your lipstick can also change your  mood. From classic red, to pink, to nude, experimenting with various shades of lipstick can truly improve your attitude.

Many colors and types of lipstick exist, containing pigments, oils, waxes and emollients. Although their are numerous shades of lipsticks available on the market today, let’s concentrate on five popular colors: Red, Purple, Pink, Orange and Nude. All fashion divas get in the groove with lipstick that makes your lips shine, pop, pout and pouf! Sensual mouths for all of you!

Roaring Red Lipstick:

The color red is a warm and positive color associated with our most physical needs and our will to survive. Although red exudes a strong and powerful masculine energy, red lipstick stands out as the epitome of sex appeal and femininity! Red lipstick is energizing, excites the emotions and motivates us to take action.

Pretty Pink Lipstick:

Pink lipstick is feminine, girly and dainty. The color pink represents compassion, nurturing and love. The color pink is a combination of red and white. Pink is romantic, affectionate and intimate. Step out in powerful pink lipstick, so inviting and sweet, you’ll feel ready to tackle the day whether your mood is sour or sweet! Pink is adorable with a touch of strong. Lather your lips in pleasing pink lipsticks and you can’t go wrong!

Opulent Orange Lipstick:

Orange lipstick is the bomb! There is something about orange lips that stand out, with an aura of bold confidence and opulent royalty. The color orange radiates warmth and happiness, combining the physical reaction of red and the cheerfulness of yellow. Paint your lips in over-the-top orange and feel your look and your mood ramp up to pure optimism and spontaneity. Orange lipstick will help you get through any kind of day in an upbeat, fun way!

Pleasant Purple Lipstick:

There is no denying that pleasant purple lips pop! Whether you prefer a deep, dark purple or violet shade, or a lighter hue of lavender, when you swipe your lips in purple shades you’ll look trendy and fashionable in spades! The color purple is a mix of red and blue. Purple stimulates the imagination and spirituality. If you want to stand out in a crowd, paint your lips in glorious purple hues. Ah, what a fabulous, fashionable, fierce you!

Nifty Nude Lipstick:

For a look that is natural, warm and inviting, your best bet is to always opt for a nude toned lipstick! Nude is a short-hand for a variety of colors, from pale yellowish-brown, a pale orange-gold or a light brown cream. Makeup companies have interpreted nude cosmetic tones as a fair to medium skin color shade. Nude lipsticks always look flesh toned yet glam, suitable for any look or mood that you’re in!

Although lipstick and lip gloss come in a variety of shades, there is something about the classic red that keeps it a step ahead. Dark red was one of the most popular shades throughout the 19th and 20th century. It wasn’t until the 1930s, when Elizabeth Arden stepped onto the cosmetic scene, that she began to introduce different lipstick colors.

For all fashion divas, you need to enjoy your fashion and style! No one makes your beauty rules but you, so no matter what your skin tone is (fair, medium, dark) you need to enhance your lips with the colors of your choice! Whether you prefer bright, bold, neon colors or shades that are more subdued, always paint your lips in an array of colors that work the best for you!

Lipstick Tip: For a dry mouthed look, go with matte lipsticks. For a shiny, wet look, you want to use lip glosses!

Alter your look with this easy tip! Change the color of your lipstick!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. In my fashion and beauty opinion, the two cosmetic items that are most important to add glamour, allure and magic to the face are mascara and lipstick! If you can only choose two makeup items to put in your cosmetic bag, choose those two and your fabulous face will thank you.

Long, thick, luscious eyelashes area a sign of health and beauty. Long, thick eyelashes not only look beautiful, but they draw out the appeal and allure of your eyes. Your eyelashes are to your eyes what a fabulous frame is to a picture; they highlight the overall look.

An eyelash is one of the hairs that grows at the edge of the eyelid. Eyelashes protect the eye from debris and perform some of the same functions as whiskers do on a cat or mouse, in the sense that they are sensitive to being touched, thus providing a warning that an object (dust, hair, etc.) is near the eye, which then closes reflexively.

Items needed to capture the essence and glamour of long, heathy eyelashes are mascara, an eyelash brush and if preferred, an eyelash curler. If you do use an eyelash curler, don’t press and close the grips too hard, as this can cause eyelashes to pull out.

Mascara Fun Fact: Mascara is a cosmetic commonly used to enhance the eyelashes. Mascara darkens, thickens, lengthens and helps to define the eyelashes. Mascara is available in three forms (liquid, cake, cream), and most contain the basic ingredients of oils, waxes and preservatives.  The thicker the coats of mascara applied, the thicker and more full your eyelashes will look.

For the most dramatic eyelash look of all, jet black mascara outdoes them all. However, colored mascara can be fun to experiment with and wear when you’re feeling unique, magical and whimsical!

Tips for Growing Long, Lush, Healthy Eyelashes:

  1. Vitamin E, Iron, Vitamin B12 – Just like your body, hair needs protein, iron and Vitamin B12 to stay strong and healthy. Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant that adds to healthy hair growth. Eyelashes are hair, so they need to be fed nutrients just like the hair on your head.
  2. Biotin (Vitamin H) – Promotes hair growth, texture and thickness.
  3. Petroleum Jelly – If you remove your mascara before you go to sleep, then apply petroleum jelly to your bare eyelashes and leave on overnight while you sleep, this will help your eyelashes to grow faster, thicker and stronger.
  4. Castor Oil/Olive Oil – These oils help to promote hair growth.
  5. Enriched Mascara – Many mascaras that are available for purchase today include lash boosting serums, botanicals and pro-vitamin enriched formulas.

Bat your eyes in lovely, long eyelashes!

Long eyelashes are considered a sign of beauty in many cultures. Did you know that you can enhance your eyelashes artificially, either by applying false eyelashes or using eyelash extensions? Permanent eyelash tints have also become a popular procedure provided in many salons. It is also possible to get eyelash transplants, which are similar in nature to hair transplantation done on the head. Since the eyelash hair is transported from the head, the new eyelashes will continue to grow.

Eyelash Fun Fact: The invention of the photograph and motion picture launched mascara’s popularity and usage in the United States. Motion pictures advertised a new standard of beauty and sex appeal. Famous actresses of the classic cinema era, such as Theda Bara, Pola Negri, Clara Bow, Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich, Bette Davis and Jean Harlow depended heavily on dramatic mascara applications for their glamorized appearances, which the mainstream public began to mimic.

Today, mascara is often used on a daily basis around the world. In 2016 alone, U.S. consumers spent 335.6 million dollars on the top ten leading mascara brands.

Yes, beauty is a billion dollar business!

For the animal lovers out there, eyelashes, being hair, are found on mammals. Camels have eyelashes that are remarkably long and thick. Horses and cows have long eyelashes also. Inherited eyelash problems are common in some breeds of dogs and horses. Not much different than people!

Eyelash Fun Fact: The average eyelash takes about seven to eight weeks to grow back if pulled out, and constant pulling may lead to permanent damage, stunting hair growth.

Eyelashes bedazzling and beguiling being lush, lovely, luxurious and long are truly a fashion and beauty bomb!

“Baby, baby, baby, bat your lovely, lush, long eyelashes at me.”

“I’m flattered you’re admiring my luxurious eyelashes, you see.”

“Are your eyelashes naturally that long, or could your lashes be fake?”

“These are my own lashes coated with mascara. Black mascara takes the cake.”

“Your extra long lashes add to the allure, appeal and attractiveness of your eyes.”

“Yes. The longer the lashes, the larger your eyes appear in size.”

Long Eyelashes: A true beauty masterpiece!

Hairstyles can make or break a look, and a popular hair do that never goes out of style is the braid. A braid is a complex structure or pattern formed by interlacing three or more strands of flexible material such as textile yarns, wire and of course, hair! Compared with the process of weaving, which usually involves two separate, perpendicular groups of strands (warp and weft), a braid is usually long and narrow, with each component strand functionally equivalent in zigzagging forward through the overlapping mass of the others.

In other words, completed braids resemble a criss-cross hair pattern!

Popular Types of Braids:

  1. Box Braids: Hair braids which are characterized by boxy or square shaped hair divisions. They are typically created by adding synthetic braiding hair. This hairstyle is a means of protective styling.
  2. Cornrows: An ancient traditional African style of hair grooming, in which the hair is braided very close to the scalp, using an underhand, upward motion to produce a continuous, raised row. Cornrows are often formed in simple, straight lines.
  3. Crochet Braids: Also known as latch hook braids, this braiding hair type involves crocheting synthetic hair extensions to a person’s natural hair with a latch hook or crochet hook.
  4. Fishtail Braids: Also known as the Herringbone, this braid includes a weaving of separate strands where the finished braid resembles the tail/bones look of a fish.
  5. French Braids: This braid includes three sections of hair that are braided together from the crown of the head to the nape of the neck.
  6. Standard Braids: Two or three sections of hair are overlapped, creating the standard, twisted braid.

Happening types of hair braids that are easy to be made!

Braid Fun Fact: The oldest known reproduction of hair braiding may go back about 30,000 years; the Venus of Willendorf, now known in academia as the Woman of Willendorf, is a female figurine estimated to have been made between about 28,000 and 25,000 BC. It has been disputed whether or not she wears braided hair or some sort of woven basket on her head. The Venus of Brassempouy is estimated to be about 25,000 years old and shows a braided hairstyle.

The braided hairstyle began growing in popularity around the world. During the Bronze Age and Iron Age many peoples in the Near East, Asia Minor, Caucasus, East Mediterranean, North Africa, Ancient Egyptians, Ancient Greeks, Babylonians, Amorites, Hittites, Mitanni, Israelites, Persians, Medes, Chaldeans, Armenians, and more are depicted in art with braided hair.

Long or short, here to there, look spectacular and splendid with braided hair!

Braiding is traditionally a social art. Because of the time it takes to braid hair, people have often taken time to socialize while braiding and having their hair braided. It began with elders making simple knots and braids for younger children. Older children watched and learned from them, started practicing on younger children, and eventually learned the traditional braid designs. This carried on a tradition of bonding between elders and the new generation.

Cornrow Braids Fun Fact: Depending on the region of the world, cornrows are often worn by men and women and are often adorned with beads or cowry shells. Cornrows are easy maintenance, as rows can be left in for weeks at a time if maintained through careful washing of hair and regular oiling of the scalp.

Braid Not So Fun Fact: Braids pulled too tight or worn for considerable lengths of time can cause a type of hair loss known as traction alopecia.

Crochet Braids Fun Fact: While crochet braids are a hybrid of traditional braids, they’re considered to be more similar to weaves. The natural hair can be twisted or braided, but is most commonly styled into cornrows before affixing the synthetic hair. Using a latch hook or crochet hook, the synthetic hair (in the form of loose bulk) is then attached. Parts of the hair extensions are grabbed by the hook and pulled through the underside of each cornrow, working from the front of the hair to the back at a 90 degree angle.

Whether your braid preference is box, crochet, cornrow, fishtail, standard or French, no matter which braid you step out in, be assured you and your hair will look and feel your best!

Braid Fun Fact: The Dutch braid and the Fishtail braid are both variations of the gorgeous French braid!

“The length of your hair is spectacular, it goes almost to the floor.”

“Shorter haircuts are beautiful also, sometimes less is more.”

“I see you braided your hair; it must have taken hours to do.”

“A professional hair stylist made my braid; I sat in a chair, she made the do.”

“The type of braid is exquisite with a different braided look than I know.”

“This here is the fishtail braid. When I walk it swings too and fro.”

Braids: A trendy, well known hairstyle that works every time…mile to mile!

With the Thanksgiving holiday fast approaching, one sure way to enjoy and match your mood to the festive atmosphere is to doll up in the warm, glowing seasonal colors of oranges and golds. Sometimes it is fun to match and coordinate your makeup color combinations with the weather, your outfit, your mood, etc. Why not match it to the holiday!
Although I am one to experiment with makeup and feel that whichever color choices are preferred by the wearer are the right color combos, I think that gold eye shadows (whether glittered, cream or powder) and bold, ornamental orange lips look splendid together and absolutely smashing!

Eye Shadow Fun Fact: Eye shadow is a cosmetic that is applied on the eyelids and under the eyebrows. Eye shadow is commonly used to make the wearer’s eyes stand out or look more attractive. Eye shadow can add depth and dimension to one’s eyes, complement the eye color, make one’s eyes appear larger, or simply draw attention to the eyes. Eye shadow is usually made from a powder and mica, but can also be found in liquid, pencil, cream or mousse form.
Lipstick Fun Fact: Lipstick is a cosmetic product containing pigments, oils, waxes and emollients that apply color, texture and protection to the lips. Wax provides the structure to the solid lipstick. Lipsticks may be made from several waxes such as beeswax, ozokerite and candelilla wax. Because of its high melting point, Carnauba wax is the key ingredient in terms of strengthening the lipstick. Various oils and fats are used in lipstick, such as olive oil, mineral oil, cocoa butter, lanolin and petrolatum.
Nancy Mangano’s Makeup Tip: When it comes to the eyes and the lips, gold eye shadows and orange lipsticks appear alluring, warm and hip! I highly recommend you try it!

Gold Fun Fact: The color gold is the color of success, achievement and triumph. Associated with abundance and prosperity, luxury and quality, prestige and sophistication, value and elegance, the psychology of the color implies affluence, material wealth and extravagance!
Radiate and luxuriate your face in glowing, glorious, gorgeous gold eye shadow tones!
Orange Fun Fact: The color orange radiates warmth and happiness, combining the physical energy and stimulation of red with the cheerfulness of yellow. Orange offers emotional strength in difficult times. The bold, bright, upbeat color helps us bounce back from disappointment and despair, assisting in recovery from grief.
Coat your luscious lips with opulent orange shades and turn your frown upside down. A kissable orange mouth stands out in any crowd!

If bright golds and oranges are too much for you and you adore the color scheme but prefer a more toned down look, you can still stick to fabulous, fashionable golds and oranges with these various shades of the colors:
Various Shades of the Color Gold:

  1. Light Brown
  2. Beige
  3. Bronze
  4. Tan

Various Shades of the Color Orange:

  1. Peach
  2. Golden Orange
  3. Amber
  4. Burnt Orange
  5. Tangerine

The warm effects of orange and gold! Eye shadow and lipstick combinations to behold!

Depending on your skin tone (light/fair, medium, olive, dark) gold and orange makeup combinations work well and both enhance and bring out your features. Gold shades of eye shadows look rich, regal and trendy. Orange lips look the bomb (much like a classic red painted lip) and can be noticed clear across the room!
Lipstick Fun Fact: Lipstick is such a powerful cosmetic, being both sensual and sexual. Ancient Sumerian men and women were probably the first to invent and wear lipstick, about 5,000 years ago. They crushed gemstones and used them to decorate their faces, mainly on the lips and around the eyes. Also around 3000 BC to 1500 BC, women in the ancient Indus Valley Civilization applied red tinted lipstick to their face for decoration. Ancient Egyptians wore lipstick to show social status rather than gender.
Eye Shadow Fun Fact: Eye shadow can be applied in a wide variety of ways, depending upon the desired look and formulation. Typically application is done using fingers or brushes. The most important aspect of applying eye shadow, especially if you are applying more than one color, is to blend well. You desire an over the top dramatic look? Then don’t blend the colors at all, let each color stand out bold on its own!

Lipstick Fashion Tip: If you prefer a dry, more drawn out mouth, use a matte lipstick. If you prefer the wet look, go with a lip gloss. To avoid bleeding and to accentuate the mouth, line your upper and bottom lips with a matching lip liner pencil (or similar shade) to shape and highlight your mouth!
Oh, give me that joyous, sexy, appealing, sensual orange pout! That’s what I’m talking about!

Positive Traits of the Color Gold:

  1. Success
  2. Abundance
  3. Wealth
  4. Understanding
  5. Self-Worth
  6. Wisdom
  7. Compassion
  8. Love

Who said tuxedo suits are only for men? Not me, and certainly not the styling women who wear them! Women’s tuxedo suits are classy, elegant and comfortable.
A tuxedo (American English) also known as a dinner jacket (British English), or simply a dinner suit, is a semi-formal evening suit distinguished primarily by satin or grosgrain facings on the jacket’s lapels and buttons, and a similar stripe along the out seam of the pants.
Most tuxedos are black or midnight blue and worn with a formal shirt, top or blouse, although women’s tuxedos in other colors look smashing!

Tuxedo Fun Fact: Tuxedo in the form of menswear originated in the United States around 1888. It was named after Tuxedo Park, a Hudson Valley enclave for New York’s social elite, where it was often seen in its early years. The term was capitalized until the 1930s and at first referred only to the jacket. When the jacket was later paired with its own unique pants and accessories in the 1900s, the term began to be associated with the entire suit.
Complete Tuxedo Garments Include:

  1. Jacket, Coat or Blazer
  2. Trousers or Slacks
  3. Blouse or Top
  4. Tie or Bow Tie
  5. Rocking High Heels
  6. Accessories
  7. Clutch Bag

Tuxedo Fun Fact: The most popular uses of the tuxedo in the United States at present are for formal weddings, galas, dances, formal proms and formal nights on cruise ships. In these circumstances, the tuxedo’s styling and accessories are most commonly chosen according to the wearer’s tastes.
The tuxedo’s accompaniments have evolved over time. The most traditional interpretation of these elements – formal shirt, formal low cut waistcoat, black bow tie, formal shoes – is incorporated in the black tie dress code.
Be a woman of the town whether you are dressed in a elegant tuxedo suit or a glamorous evening gown!

Women’s pantsuits were introduced in the 1920s, when a small number of women adopted a masculine style, including pantsuits, hats, canes and monocles. However, the term “trouser suit” had been used in Britain during the First World War, with reference to women working in heavy industry. During the 1960s, pantsuits for women became increasingly widespread.
The earliest tuxedo jackets were of the same black material as the dress coat with one, two or no buttons, and a shawl collar faced in satin or ribbed silk. By the turn of the twentieth century, the peaked lapel was equally popular and the one-button model had become standard.

Tuxedo Fun Fact: When tuxedo pants are sold with the dinner jacket, they are the same material. The first tuxedos tended to be black or gray. By World War I, the gray option had fallen out of favor, and midnight blue became an increasingly popular color choice. Notch lapels, imported from the ordinary business suit, were in vogue in the 1920s.
Feminine high fashion in a tasteful tuxedo suit!

Nancy Mangano’s Tuxedo Fashion Tip: Women look sensual and gorgeous in tuxedo suits, and pull the masculine garment into a feminine vibe! Whether you prefer to wear a satin or ruffled blouse under the jacket, or no blouse at all, tuxedo suits give off the fashion effect of classy and confident!

Long diamond earrings and diamond chokers are fabulous accessories to complement your radiant tuxedo suit. Not one to wear real diamonds? Go with the costume jewelry rhinestone look! Just as exquisite with minimal cost!
Although the tuxedo is a form of evening wear, a true glamour girl dresses to her preference. Tuxedo suits work just as well for bridal brunches, speaking engagements or merely to strut your stuff through a mall!
Tuxedo suits work for every woman, one and all!

Tuxedo Fun Fact: ‘Dinner Jacket’ in the context of menswear first appeared in England around 1887 and in the United States around 1889. In the 1960s, ‘dinner jacket’ became associated in the United States with white or color jackets specifically.
“Man oh man, what a feminine suit wearing woman you are!”
“I rock in my tuxedo suit whether you see me up close or from afar!”
“I love the silk jacket with the soft silk pants. Your velvet tie pulls it all together.”
“My five inch patent leather heels and my ruby jewelry makes the suit look like ‘for her’.”
“I was planning on wearing an evening gown to the theater tomorrow night.”
“I highly suggest a knock-out tuxedo suit. Chic, gorgeous, darling…a beautiful sight!”
Tuxedo Suit: Turn heads in a feminine tuxedo suit. You’ll be glad that you did!

Many people look for different trending cuts and varying hair styles, changing their hair style in much the same way as you change your clothes. Different day…different hairdo…different you!
Not sure what hair style to wear today? I have one…the off the shoulder bun!
A bun is a versatile hair style ranging from simply functional for household chores or bad hair days, to a dressy school look or a stunning, sophisticated hair style for a glammed up evening. No matter the event or your mood, there is a bun that works for any occasion.

Hair Fun Fact: Hair is a protein filament that grows from follicles found in the dermis, or skin. The human body is covered in follicles that produce thick terminal and fine vellus hair. The most common interest in hair is focused on hair growth, hair types and hair care. Attitudes toward hair differ depending on the person, their preference of  hair styles, hair removal, etc.
Hair refers to two distinct structures: the follicle, which is the part beneath the skin, which regrows hair after it has fallen out and regrows skin after a wound. The second is the hair shaft, which is the hard filamentous part that extends above the skin surface.  The hair shaft is divided into three zones: the cuticle, the cortex and the medulla.

The Most Popular Types of Buns:

  1. The Ballerina Bun
  2. The Braided Bun
  3. The Messy Bun
  4. The Regular Bun
  5. The Sock Bun
  6. The Topknot
  7. The Wispy Bun

Steps to Make the Regular Standard Bun:

  1. Brush your hair.
  2. Pull back your hair and use an elastic band to hold your hair tight and in place (like making a pony tail).
  3. Twist your hair.
  4. Wrap your hair into a circular shape around the base of the pony tail.
  5. Tuck any loose ends under the bun.
  6. Secure the bun with bobby pins, barrettes, etc.
  7. Leave a few thin, wispy strands of hair hanging down in front if preferred.
  8. Add flowers, a headband, etc. if you want decorations.
  9. Add hairspray to hold the bun.
  10. Spritz on hair gloss if preferred.

Summer hair fun: the cool, chic, beautiful bun!
Hair Fun Fact: Hair grows everywhere on the external human body except for the mucus membranes and glabrous skin, such as that found on the palms of the hands, soles of the feet and lips. Hair follows a specific growth cycle with three distinct and concurrent phases: anagen, catagen and telogen phase. Each phase has specific characteristics that determine the length of the hair. Al three phases occur simultaneously; one strand of hair may be in the anagen phase, while another hair strand is in the telogen phase.
The human body has different types of hair, including vellus hair and androgenic hair, each with its own type of cellular construction. The different construction is what gives hair its unique characteristics, serving specific purposes, mainly, warmth and protection.
As is the case with all fashion, fashion divas have found a way to make hair’s purpose be aesthetic, gorgeous and wild! Oh, you wild hair child!

Bun Fashion Tips:

  1. Take any loose hairs and run them through a curling iron for spirals, or a hair straightener for sleek, straight hair wisps.
  2. You can make a bun with wet or dry hair.
  3. Braided buns look amazing!
  4. Tighter buns look sensual and sophisticated.
  5. Loose buns look casual and youthful.

For a festive, fun, fabulous looking bun, add fresh flowers or a head wreath to your hair when you are done!

No matter your hair color or your hair type, hair rolled up in a bun feels breezy, summery and light!
Natural Hair Types:

  1. Straight
  2. Wavy
  3. Curly
  4. Kinky
  5. A mixture of the four hair types.

This hair typing system is the most widely used system to classify hair.

Nancy Mangano’s Bun Fashion Tip: I feel that buns worn with large, long earrings look glamorous and adorable. Since your ears are on display, why not decorate them the fabulous earring way?
Another benefit of the beautiful bun? You neck looks elongated and elegant, feminine and flattering to everyone!

Whether you’re spending a day at the beach or having dinner at a five star hotel, pull your hair off your shoulders into a wispy bun for a look that is fashion forward and swell!

Hats are hip. The decorative head coverings can fit flat on the head or be wide brimmed, tight or floppy, simple or flamboyant, work related or worn for fashion, but hats always add a special touch of “something” to an outfit and to your overall appearance.
A hat is a head covering which is worn for various reasons, including protection against the elements like rain or wind, ceremonial reasons such as university graduations and religious reasons, safety such as when working on a construction site, and for all fashion divas, as a flattering fashion accessory!

Hat Fun Fact: In the past, hats were an indicator of social status. In the military, hats may denote nationality, branch of service, rank, and/or regiment. Police typically wear distinctive hats such as peaked caps or brimmed hats, such as those worn by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
While there aren’t many official records of hats before 3,000 BC, they probably were commonplace before that. Archaeologists think that the Venus of Brassempouy 26,000 years ago may depict a hat. One of the earliest confirmed hats was worn by a bronze age man, whose body (including his hat) was found frozen in a mountain between Austria and Italy, where he’d been since around 3,300 BC. He was found wearing a bearskin cap with a chin strap, made of several hides stitched together, resembling a Russian fur hat without the flaps.
Decorate your head in a hat that’s all that!

Popular Styles of Hats Include:

  1. Ascot Cap
  2. Baseball Cap
  3. Beanie
  4. Bearskin Cap
  5. Beret
  6. Cowboy Hat
  7. Chullo
  8. Cricket Cap
  9. Coonskin Cap
  10. Custodian Helmet
  11. Deerstalker
  12. Fedora
  13. Hard Hat
  14. Kippah

  16. Panama
  17. Pillbox Hat
  18. Santa Hat
  19. Sombrero
  20. Top Hat
  21. Toque
  22. Turban

So many types of hats to choose from…so many choices to make. I’ll wear one hat to the theater, one hat to the store and one to my birthday party as I dine on delicious cake!

Who can deny that not only women can rock great hats, but men look dapper, suave and sophisticated when they strut cool with a hat on their head!

Let’s just take a moment to suck in and savor Prince’s beauty and style!
Hat Fun Fact: The Philippi Collection is a collection of religious headgear assembled by a German entrepreneur, Dieter Philippi, located in Kirkel. The collection features over 500 hats, and is currently the world’s largest collection of clerical, ecclesiastical and religious head coverings. One of the most famous London hatters is James Lock & Co. of St. James’ Street. The shop claims to be the oldest operating hat shop in the world.
The tradition of wearing hats to horse racing events began at the Royal Ascot in Britain, which maintains a strict dress code. All guests in the Royal Enclosure must wear hats. This tradition has been adopted at other horse racing events, such as the Kentucky Derby in the United States.
I tip my hat off!

Hat Fun Fact: Extravagant hats were popular in the 1980s, and in the early 21st century, flamboyant hats made a comeback, with a new wave of competitive young milliners designing creations that include turban caps, felt hats and tall headpieces made of human hair. Some new hat collections have been described as “wearable sculpture.” Many pop stars, among them Lady Gaga, have commissioned hats as publicity stunts.
new-vintage-women-shirts-print-h-is-most-glamorous-paris-looks-blouse-shirtHat sizes are determined by measuring the circumference of a person’s head about 1 centimeter (one-half inch) above the ears. Inches or centimeters may be used depending on the manufacturer. Felt hats can be stretched for a custom fit. Some hats, like hard hats and baseball caps, are adjustable. Some hats come in standard sizes, such as small, medium and large.
Traditional hat size is worked out by adding the fore and aft and side to side measurements (in inches) and then dividing by two. In the United Kingdom, an equivalent hat size is an eighth of an inch smaller than in the United States.
Are you looking for a gorgeous, great, playful or funky way to add appeal and allure to your outfit? Why not place a fashionable hat on your head? Enough said!
Peek a Boo. Who is that hiding behind that fabulous hat? Oh, it’s you!
“Excuse me. Your hat is lovely, but it sits so high you’re blocking my movie view.”
“My flashy hat and I are the view…sorry to break it to you.”
“While I agree you look stunning in your haute couture hat, I paid to see the screen.”
“I can give you a movie and your money’s worth…in my fabulous hat I look like a sexy screen queen.”
“I’ll ask one more time nicely. Will you please remove your hat?”
“A true fashion plate wears what she prefers. Just change seats and solve that.”
In fashion, proper etiquette styles are made to be broken! Always remember that, and wear a flamboyant, frilly hat!

Color brings life to the world. The leaves of trees that turn from green to gold and orange, a rainbow after a storm, neon lights shining bright at a carnival, and makeup to add color and sunshine to our gorgeous faces.
Color does help the world to be a brighter, nicer, more beautiful place!
Now, back to the face. For a change of pace that is fun, fashionable and fearless, why not paint your eyelashes with bright, bold, vivid color? How, you ask? Simple…apply colored mascara.

Mascara is a cosmetic commonly used to enhance the eyes. Mascara may darken, thicken, lengthen and/or define the eyelashes. Most mascaras contain the components of pigments, oils, waxes and preservatives. Mascara comes in three forms: liquid, cake and cream.
Eyelashes are hairs that grow at the edge of the upper and lower eyelid. Eyelashes protect the eye from debris and perform some of the same functions as whiskers do on a cat or mouse in the sense that they are sensitive to being touched, thus providing a warning that an object is near the eye.
Eye, eye, eye! Dress up the eyes with a cool collection of colored mascara.

Mascara Fashion Tip: On a normal, day to day routine, I tend to prefer dark black mascara…the darker and thicker the lashes, the better. Add black eyeliner for fabulous definition and mesmerizing eyes. However, sometimes it is fun to rock the boat, or bat an eyelash, and doll up your eyes to amazing proportions. How? With wonderful, vivacious colored mascara!
Mascara can be defined as “a cosmetic substance for darkening, lengthening, curling, coloring and thickening the eyelashes, applied with a brush or rod.” Note: mascara can be used on the eyebrows as well, to add depth, thickness and shape to the brow.
Go bold and brash with a colored lash!

Fashion Tips for Wearing Colored Mascara:

  1. Match the color of mascara to your natural eye color.
  2. Let the color of mascara match and/or highlight your selected shades of eye shadows.
  3. Wear one color of mascara on your upper lashes and another color of mascara on the lower lashes.
  4. Wear various colors of mascara across the upper and lower lashes.
  5. Match the color of mascara to your outfit of the day.

So many ways to play the day away experimenting with colored mascara!

Eyelash Fun Fact: Eyelashes take about seven to eight weeks to grow back if pulled out, but constant pulling may lead to permanent damage. Natural eyelash color may differ from that of your hair, but tend to be darker on those with medium to dark skin, and lighter on those with fair complexions.
Love the eyelashes and the skin you’re in! Beauty is fun to glam up with on the outside, and really radiates when it comes from within!

Eyelash Fun Fact: The follicles of the eyelashes are associated with a number of glands known as the glands of Zeis and the glands of Moll. On embryos, the eyelashes develop from the ectoderm between the 22nd and 26th week of pregnancy.
Mascara Fun Fact: Aesthetic adornment is a cultural universal practice, and mascara can be documented in ancient Egypt. Records from around 4000 BC refer to a substance called kohl that was used to darken eyelashes, eyes and eyebrows. During the Victorian era, women were known to spend a majority of their day occupied with beauty regimens, one being a great effort to create the illusion of long, dark eyelashes.
Rock the day and night away the cool, chic, colored mascara way!

Long eyelashes are considered a sign of beauty if many cultures. In addition to lengthening the lashes with mascara, some women enhance their eyelash length artificially, using eyelash extensions. Permanent eyelash tints and extensions have also become popular procedures in basic salons. It is also possible to get eyelash transplants, which are similar in nature to hair transplants done on the head.
Mascara, in all glorious colors, pulls the eyelash from the rim of the eye, creating a doe-like illusion of larger, more open eyes.
Be a wonderful wide-eyed wonder when your eyelashes are decorated with colorful, magnificent mascaras!

Two, four, six, eight. What does a makeup lover appreciate? Charming colored mascara!
“I’ve never seen such long, lovely, yellow eyelashes before.”
“If you had seen me yesterday it was baby blue eyelashes that I wore.”
“Do you change your color of lashes depending on how your day goes?”
“That is actually a clever idea but I match my lash colors to my clothes.”
“Your eyes are beautiful indeed…they sparkle, shimmer and shine.”
“And when I highlight them with colored mascara the results are truly divine!”
See the world through spectacular lashes…colors for individual divas and colors for the fashion masses!

When it comes to eyebrows, the knack is in the shape. Whether the shape of your face is round, long, oval, heart or diamond, the appeal of your face can be contoured and enhanced by the color, length and width of your eyebrows.
The eyebrow is an area of thick, delicate hairs above the eye that follows the shape of the lower margin of the brow ridges. Eyebrows come in many shapes and sizes: some people have thick and bushy eyebrows, whereas others have thinner, more pointed eyebrows. Some people prefer to wear their brows full, while others either pluck or shave their brows, preferring to draw on a thin eyebrow.
Your face, your preference, your fashion choice!

Eyebrow Fun Fact: The eyebrows’ main function is to prevent sweat, water and other debris from falling down into the eye socket, but they are also important to human communication and facial expression.
Eyebrow Fun Fact: Eyebrows have an important function in communication, strengthening expressions, such as surprise, anger or sexiness. Many makeup artists view eyebrows as a major feature in defining the face. Eyebrows not only shape the face, but give definition to one’s eyes and forehead.
As with all human features, people modify their eyebrows by means of hair addition, hair removal and makeup.

How to Shape Your Eyebrows:

  1. Imagine a straight line from the outside of your nose to the inside corner of your eye. This is where your brow should begin.
  2. Imagine a straight line from the center of the upper lip, along the outer edge of the nose, up to the outer corner of the eye. This is where your brow should end.
  3. Imagine a straight line from the tip of the nose through the middle of the eye pupil. This is where your eyebrow arch should be.

Follow the above steps for exquisite eyebrows as beautiful as can be.
Would you like thinner eyebrows? This can be accomplished through tweezing, waxing and threading.
Would you like thicker eyebrows? You can fill the brows in with eyebrow pencils and gels, which create an outline for the brows or mimick hairs in sparse areas.

Eyebrow Fun Fact: To create a fuller look, eyebrows can be cloned in an eyebrow transplant. Individual strands of the eyebrow are mimicked to create natural looking eyebrows of the desire shape. Too much for you? Why not try eyebrow tinting? Permanent hair dye, similar to hair color, is used on the eyebrow to darken or lighten them.
Another procedure that can be used to shape the eyebrows is an eyebrow lift. This is cosmetic surgery to raise the eyebrow, usually to create a more feminine or youthful appearance. Also, doctors can inject patients’ eyebrows with botox or similar toxins to temporarily raise the eyebrow.
Sometimes it’s resorting to ouch, ouch, ouch to get the perfect arch, arch, arch!

Eyebrow Threading: Eyebrow threading is a popular method of hair removal originating in Asia. In more recent times, eyebrow threading has gained popularity in Western countries, especially with cosmetic application. Threading is a method for removing and shaping eyebrows.
In eyebrow threading, a thin cotton or polyester thread is doubled, then twisted. The thread is then rolled over areas of unwanted hair, plucking the hair at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing, where single hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can remove short lines of hair in one swipe.
Methods of threading include the hand method, mouth method and neck. It has been noted that the mouth holding method is the fastest and most precise.
The benefits of threading? This process allows for a more defined and precise shape to the eyebrows and can create better eyebrow definition. Threading can also be used as a method of removing unwanted hair from the entire face and upper lip.

Eyebrow Fun Fact: In a study published by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where subjects were asked to identify celebrities with either their eyes or their eyebrows digitally edited out, the subjects were able to recognize the celebrity 46% of the time with their eyebrows edited out, compared to 56% of the time with their eyes edited out. This finding indicates the true importance of eyebrows in providing clues to an individual’s identity.
Having an eye for great looking eyebrows!
Eye, eye, eye, Captain. Make no bones about it! The eyebrows have it!

Eyebrow Fun Fact: Eyebrows serve a purpose besides adding depth and beauty to the face. The typical curved shape of the eyebrow (with a slant on the side) and the direction in which the eyebrow hairs are pointed, make sure that moisture has a tendency to flow sideways around the eyes, along the side of the head and along the nose.
Eyebrows: So many functional purposes; so many ways to doll them up or down to add character and a signature flair to your fabulous face!
Get going on the eyebrow shaping race…fantastic good taste for the face!
“The high arch of your eyebrows indicate that you are surprised to see me.”
“No, actually I shaped them this way to add perfect definition and to please me.”
“Your brows do look lovely, so thick and full. They accent your eyes.”
“Yes, a full, lengthy eyebrow makes for a beautiful face and is just the right size.”
“When it comes to eyebrow know how you seem quite wise.”
“You are correct. And for that reason, my dear, you should not be surprised.”
“So I am not to be fooled by your dazzling exterior?”
“If you knew the knowledge stored behind my brows in my brain you may feel inferior!”
The perfect eyebrow for the perfect look for the perfect face! Let your eyebrows complement your face like leather to lace!
