Yes, it’s true that if you go to the beach wearing a one piece bathing suit you will likely be surrounded by a borage of beach babes dressed in thongs, bikinis and two piece swimsuits. Guess the good news? You can still stand out and be a bathing suit beauty wearing a one piece swimsuit. Have you seen the one piece bathing suits on the market today? They are sexy, classy, sassy and gorgeous all the way!

Whether you prefer a one piece bathing suit that covers your entire torso, or a swimsuit that still shows plenty of skin, when you fit yourself into a slinky, stylish, sensual one piece bathing suit you’ll love the suit that you’re in (and the way you wear the suit so well)!

Before the popularity of the two piece swimsuit, and then the bikini, virtually all female swimwear covered at least the wearer’s torso, and men also wore similar swimsuits. While the bikini has increasingly found popularity since the 1960s, the one piece swimsuit has maintained its signature place on beaches and pools to this day. Yes, the darling, adorable one piece swimsuit is here to stay. Hip hip hooray!

The most common type of one piece bathing suit is the maillot or tank suit, which resembles a sleeveless leotard or body suit. Many variances of the one piece swimsuit include the halter neck, wrap around, pretzel suit and bandeau style bathing suit.

One Piece Bathing Suit Fun Fact: The modern one piece swimsuit made its appearance in the mid 1900s, when the style was widely known as the tank suit. Its widespread acceptance is attributed to Australian swimmer Annette Kellerman, who attracted further attention to the style in 1907, when she was arrested on a Boston, Massachusetts beach for indecent exposure because her swimsuit showed her arms, legs and neck. This arrest prompted a wide public outrage which added to the worldwide acceptance of the tank top one piece bathing suit style. Can you imagine what would have happened if Annette Kellerman had been wearing a thong bikini that is prevalent today? Locked up for sure and they would have probably thrown the key away. Ha!

One reason I find the one piece bathing suit so attractive is because you have more material to work with, which means the designer can cut and sew a swimsuit together that has more fashion and style. When you work with the minimal amount of fabric it takes to sew a bikini, you don’t have much fabric to put together and show off your creativity. With a one piece swimsuit, you can have shoulder straps, halter neck tops, cutouts and openings in the midriff section, etc. which allows the designer/manufacturer more options in sewing together a knockout, sexy, beautiful bathing suit.

It was during the 1920s and 1930s that people began to shift from “taking in the water” to “taking in the sun”, where tanning and sunbathing began growing in popularity. It was at this time that one piece bathing suit designs shifted from functional and practical to adding more decorative features. Necklines plunged at the back, sleeves disappeared and sides were cut away and tightened. Once again, fashion wins! The looks, design and aesthetics of the swimsuit began to matter more to women than merely being something to wear in the water to cover their skin! Ah, hail the fashion divas that take practical, necessary garments and make them chic, cool clothes to behold!

Look like “the one” in a one piece bathing suit!

Even in contexts still today, a two piece swimsuit is regarded by some as immodest and controversial, with a one piece swimsuit being mandatory, as in the case of most school swimming events, Olympic women’s swimming and other international swimming events and competitions.

Beach baby, beach baby there on the sand…oh how I adore the fabulous one piece bathing suit that you are wrapped in!

“We’re planning to take a fun, festive, much needed vacation at the Jersey Shore.”

“This calls for splurging on a few new bathing suits that you will adore.”

“I think I’ll go for the one piece swimsuit to help keep tan lines away.”

“You’ll turn every head on the shore when you wear a stylish one piece each day.”

“I think I’ll buy one red, one black and one rainbow, with slinky slits and cutaways.”

“You’ll be the belle of the beach and you won’t want to come home. Vacation all the way!”

One Piece Bathing Suits: Grab yourself a beach ball, slip into your slinky one piece bathing suit and be a true bathing suit beauty that is the most noticed gal on the shore.  Need I say more?

Whether you’re a woman who lovers her Estee Lauder “Beautiful” perfume, or a man who prefers a deep scented musk cologne, chances are that you have a favorite fragrance, or a preference for a particular perfume designer. Sales figures from perfume companies are in the billions, and even celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and Jennifer Lopez have their own perfume lines.

Blame it on our pheromones! A pheromone is a chemical substance produced and released into the environment by humans and animals, affecting the behavior or physiology of others. The nose knows…our sense of smell is one of the strongest factors in our attraction or unattraction to an object or person. The more pleasant and yummy the scent, the more we desire to sniff away, which is why heavenly scented perfumes are here to stay!

Perfume is a mixture of fragrant essential oils or aroma compounds and solvents used to give the human body an agreeable, appealing scent. Perfumes are generally in a liquid form, although rub-on cream based perfumes are available on the market. Modern perfume began in the late 19th century with the commercial synthesis of aroma compounds such as vanillin or coumarin, which allowed for the composition of perfumes with smells previously unattainable from natural aromas alone.

Pheromone Facts that Keep Us Pining Away for our Favorite Perfumes:

  1. Pheromones are similar to hormones but work outside the body.
  2. Pheromones induce activity in other individuals, such as sexual arousal.
  3. There are four types of pheromones: releaser, primer, signaler and modulator.

The public’s fascination with perfumes and colognes is intrinsic and well known! It’s all about our pheromones!

Famous Perfume Designers Include:

  1. Chanel
  2. Calvin Klein
  3. Chloe
  4. Dolce & Gabbana
  5. Gucci
  6. Prada
  7. Versace
  8. Hermes
  9. Yves Saint Laurent
  10. Burberry
  11. Tom Ford
  12. Marc Jacobs
  13. Emporio Armani
  14. And Many More!

With so many famous perfume designers and makeup houses (think Estee Lauder, L’Oréal, Revlon, etc.) who have jumped on the aroma bandwagon, there is no denying that we adore our perfumes and colognes! Always a great and worthwhile beauty bargain!

Perfume Fun Fact: The word perfume derives from the Latin ‘perfumare’ meaning “to smoke through.” Perfumery, the art of making perfumes, began in ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt, and was further refined by the Romans and Persians. The world’s first recorded chemist is considered a woman named Tapputi, a perfume maker mentioned in a cuneiform tablet from the 2nd millennium BC in Mesopotamia. Tapputi distilled flowers, oil and calamus with other aromatics, then filtered them and put them back in the still several times.  Wahlah, perfume perfection!

Whether you adore the smell of fresh flowers, vanilla, fruits, spices or musk, step out with a splash of your favorite perfume and smell glorious from dawn to dusk!

How do you clench and lock in your first date, ensuring a second date is guaranteed on your plate? Hook them with your perfume. You’ll not only smell marvelous for your date, but you’ll get the attention from all who are in the room!

Perfume Dilution Classes: (The Concentration of Aromatic Compounds in a Solvent)

  1. Parfum or Extrait – 15-40%
  2. Espirit de Parfum – 15-30%
  3. Eau De Parfum – 10-20%
  4. Parfum De Toilette – 15%
  5. Eau De Toilette – 5-15%
  6. Eau De Cologne – 3-8%

In addition to these widely seen perfume concentrations, companies have marketed a variety of perfumed products under the name of splashes, mists and veils. Generally these products contain approximately 3% aromatic compounds.

Why our pheromones are pleased by perfumes!

For scents that are sexy, sensual, misty, playful and heighten your senses, when you stand near someone who smells of beautiful perfume, you’ll want to stay in their direction!

“Sir, you’re standing a bit to close to me. Please step out of my personal space.”

“You’re simply irresistible. Your heavenly scent and your gorgeous face.”

“You can appreciate the view and still enjoy my aroma from a few feet back.”

“If you were anymore appealing you’d cause my heart attack.”

“This delightful perfume I wear is sometimes a bother. Too many people are attracted to me.”

“I’d say you have found the perfect scent that suits you. I would simply let it be!”

Perfume: To ensure people follow you, sprinkling yourself in irresistible aromas is the thing to do! To keep a crowd away, don’t spray any perfume for a day! You’re glorious either way!

Find me a man wearing a beautiful, alluring cologne and I’ll follow him most anywhere! There’s something about a man and his cologne that tends to drive women wild and force them to take notice. Be it the soothing scent, the sexiness of a man who isn’t afraid to show his feminine side and the thrill of the pleasant aroma, men who lather themselves in sweet yet manly cologne are downright masculine!

Men, if you doubt me, try this experiment. Step into an elevator wearing the beguiling aroma of cologne, along with three or four men who choose to go bare necked (no cologne). Make sure one female is in the elevator. I guarantee you, the woman who is trapped in an elevator with four or five probably very good looking men is only going to notice the “one” man who brings her nose and her senses to life with his very delicious scent of cologne. Manly!

The wonderful, sensual, romantic scent of a man in cologne brings a woman to life! It could be that one signature move that elevates a girlfriend to a wife!

Women’s (and men’s) love of smelling great cologne has a lot to do with our pheromones. A pheromone is a chemical that humans and animals produce that changes the behavior of another human or animal. In the case of men in cologne, the glorious scent alone can cause our frown to turn into a smile and our noticing of you to rise to an off the charts level. I give a serious “thank you” shout out to all men who wear cologne…I am so happy from the scent alone.

Facts About Pheromones:

1. Pheromones are similar to hormones but work outside the body.
2. Pheromones induce activity in other individuals, such as sexual arousal.
3. There are four types of pheromones: releaser; primer; signaler and modulator.

The nose knows! All men should wear cologne!

Our sense of smell is particularly powerful, keeping us women noticing scrumptious food, the scent of fresh, sweet flowers and the attractive and alluring smell of our men wearing their signature, favorite cologne!

Men, let your woman or barber pamper you, manscape and groom you to the ultimate perfection, adding a splash of cologne to take you in a “smells divine” direction!

“But I’m afraid cologne will sissify me!” you say. Not even one single day! A sultry, soft smelling cologne worn on your neck and wrists will cause your wives and/or girlfriends to give you an extra kiss! Ah, you have no idea how much she will appreciate this!

Men who bathe themselves (just don’t overdo it) in the powerful, intoxicating scent of a heavenly cologne will most likely have females following you home.

Why not give it a try? Once you’re styling, smiling and ready to take on the town, highlight your overall aura with a splash of yummy cologne and be the best smelling man around! You’ll smell and look like a million bucks, whether you’re cruising through the streets in a shiny BMW or looking masculine and sexy driving a truck!

Cologne, often times referred to as perfume for men, can be viewed as the cherry on the sundae. The final topping that puts a “put together” man completely together…and tops off his vibe of sex appeal and undeniable masculinity! A lethal combination!

Men, remember this equation and you won’t go wrong: Men + Cologne = A Turn On! Masculine and strong!

“Who is that man you’re walking so close behind?”

“I’m getting whiffs of his cologne when I stand nearby.”

“He’s going to think you’re stalking him or you don’t respect his space.”

“I can’t help it. The marvelous scent of his cologne shows he has great taste.”

“He’s entering the gym. Are you following him in there too?”

“Yes. Fit and he smells divine. What’s a girl to do?”

Cologne: Perfume for men. Give it a try. The fabulous results will show you why!

If it’s true what they say, beauty is in the “eye” of the beholder, then why not decorate and adorn your precious peepers with the epitome of eye shadow beauty, the smokey eye? The smokey eye is a distinctive cosmetic blend of eye shadow, eyeliner and mascara applied in a way that gives a sultry, dramatic, dazzling look to the eyes. Since the eyes are the window to our souls, the smokey eye allows us to see ourselves and the world through glamorous, gorgeous, mesmerizing eyes!

We all know that eye shadow is a makeup item that is applied on the eyelids and under the eyebrows. Did you know that eye shadow adds depth and dimension to your eyes, can complement your eye color, can be used to make your eyes appear larger, or simply to draw attention to your eyes? In a nutshell, various forms and shades of eye shadows make your eyes stand out and look more attractive.

Smokey eyes are, well, smokin’ hot!

Smokey eyes definitely radiate with high end glamour, and the smokin’ hot appearance can be captured in just a few easy steps.

How to Apply the Perfect Smokey Eye:

1. Prep the Eyelid: Swipe an eye shadow primer (base) across the upper and lower eye area and let it dry.
2. Select the Colors of Eye Shadow: Smokey eyes work best when you use a dark and a lighter color (brown and gold, dark blue and light blue, etc.) Beauty knows no bounds…you can use whatever shades you desire!
3. Apply Eyeliner: Apply eyeliner above the entire upper lash line, drawing the line thicker in the middle of the eye.
4. Blend in Color on Bottom Lashes: The bottom color is one of the main elements of the smokey eye look. Run an eyeliner pencil under the entire bottom lashes and smudge the line with your finger or Qtip. You can also apply some eye shadow and smudge the eyeliner and eye shadow together.
5. Apply Base Color: The key to a fabulous smokey eye is pairing a lighter base with a darker hue. Sweep in a light, glistening shadow over the eyelids to the browbase.
6. Blend in the Darker Color: Blend in the darker color of eye shadow starting at your lash line, blending up. Blend the color into the lash line so that the eyeliner disappears.
7. Check Your Work: Make certain that both eyes match and rub out any smears or smudges with a Qtip.
8. Apply Lots of Mascara: Thick, dramatic mascara is a must to finish off the alluring smokey eye effect. Apply enough coats that the lashes look long, thick and dark. Black mascara works best for the ultimate look. False eyelashes can be applied if preferred.

Congratulations! You have mastered the smokey eye! Sizzling!

Eye Shadow Fun Fact: Have you ever wondered what ingredients are used to make the eye catching eye shadow that you love to wear? Common ingredients in eye shadows consist of talc, mica, sericite, magnesium stearate, colorants and preservatives. Fillers in eye shadows are primarily talc. The liquid binders are typically silicone and the dry binders are usually magnesium stearate. In order to make a perfectly blended eye shadow, there has to be a balance between the fillers, dry binders and liquid binders.

Where there’s smoke there’s fire? Show the fire in your eyes with the dramatic smokey eye!

Eye Shadow Fun Fact: Many people use eye shadow to simply improve their appearance, but it is also commonly used in theater and other plays, to create a memorable look, with bright, bold colors. Depending on skin tone and the shades of eye shadows selected, the effect of eye shadow usually brings out the glamour and gains attention. The use of eye shadow attempts to replicate the natural eye shadow that some women exhibit due to a natural contrasting pigmentation on their eyelids. Natural eye shadow can range anywhere from a glossy shine to one’s eyelids, to a pinkish tone, or even a silver look.

Whether your eye shadow comes a la natural or applied from a case, when you spruce up your eyes with the signature smokey eye, you’ll be a true fashion and beauty plate!

Eye Makeup Removal Fun Fact: To remove the eye shadow and all of the hard work that you’ve put into mastering the smokey eye, a commercial eye makeup remover can be used, as well as a rich face wash. You may also go with water and a gentle soap. Eye shadow, eyeliner and mascara also wipes clean with baby oil or petroleum jelly. You may also purchase makeup removal wipes at salons and beauty supply stores.

Jeepers, creepers! Where did you get those smokey eye peepers?

“I feel like I need a night on the town. Would you like to go dancing at a club with me?”

“I don’t want to sound like a party pooper, but sometimes the clubs are too smokey to see.”

“Perhaps we can find a no smoking club, where the only smoke will be our smokey eyes.”

“Then I’m up for it. Some good music, dancing and munchies sounds “de-stress” wise.”

“Having some fun, dancing, mingling and a good time is what I need to relax as well.”

“Let’s go over dramatic with the alluring smokey eye. Tomorrow we’ll have a story to tell!”

Smokey Eye: Eye makeup perfection. Get the beauty connection!

In addition to adding fashion and flair to any garment, an element of fringe (trim) adds a fun, festive look to clothing. Fringe is an ornamental textile trim applied to an edge of an item (clothing, drapes, flags, etc.).
Fringe originated as a way of preventing a cut piece of fabric from unraveling when a hemming wasn’t used. Several strands of weft threads would be removed, and the remaining warp threads would be twisted or braided together to prevent unraveling.
In the realm of fashion, fringe is a popular trend on the runway! Always stylish and in.

Fringe Fun Fact: In modern fabrics, fringe is more commonly made separately and sewn on. Modern “add-on” fringe may consist of wool, silk, linen or narrow strips of leather. The use of fringe is ancient, and early fringes were generally made of unspun wool (rather than spun or twisted threads).
We often hear the term “runway” and “catwalk” when it comes to haute couture clothing, world wide fashion weeks, fashion shows, etc. So, for all fashion divas, what exactly does it mean when one refers to a runway show, strutting the catwalk, etc.?
Runway/Catwalk Fun Fact: In fashion, a runway, catwalk or ramp is a narrow, usually flat platform that runs into an auditorium or between sections of an outdoor seating area, used by models to demonstrate clothing and accessories during a fashion show. In fashion jargon, ‘what’s on the catwalk?’ or similar phrasing can refer to whatever is new and popular in fashion.
So, when displayed on the runway or catwalk, fringe is always in and a sure number one win!
There are many types of fringe. Particularly in Western Europe, as wealth and luxury items proliferated during the Renaissance, types of fringe began to assume commonly accepted names. Styles of fringe were clearly defined in England by at least the year 1688.
Popular Types of Fringe:

  1. Buillon Fringe: Twisted yarn that generally contains threads of silver and gold. The name derives from bullion hose, which had a twisted element at the top that resembled this type of fringe. Modern buillon fringe varies widely in texture and width, but generally is only 3 to 9 inches (7.6 to 22.9 cm) in length.
  2. Campaign Fringe: From the French word campane (meaning “bell”), consists of small, bell-like tassels on the end.
  3. Thread Fringe: Untwisted and unbraided loose warp threads.

Fashionable fringe to step out in!

Runway/Catwalk Fun Fact: Although fringe clothing is always glammed up, never basic, a runway could be as basic as a narrow space between rows of chairs or a more elaborate set up with multiple catwalks.
Most runway shows are held indoors, for shelter against the weather, but there are times when runway shows are held outdoors. In the 2016 Paris Fashion Week, Chanel presented an elaborate setup by designing the hall as if it were an airport. The viewing guests sat as if they were awaiting their flights, while the models walked around the airport approaching ticket counters.
Get a first-class ticket to some of the loveliest clothes on the market. Purchase fringe garments and let the fringe swing and sway while you walk it!
Fringe clothing works splendidly for day or night dress. Always look your fashion best!

Fringe clothing gives off an appeal of fine elegance and downhome country chic all in one! Whether you dress in fringe for the flared effect of it, or for the casual, fun, youthful look of it, when dressed in fringe you’ll always look hip and in!
Runway/Catwalk Fun Fact: When a model scores an exclusive for a fashion label, it means the model has been selected to walk for that particular designer only. An exclusive contract often launches a model’s career and elevates their status in the fashion industry, guaranteeing them spots on the world’s best catwalks.
Strut yourself down the runway of life in fun, festive, flappable fringe!

Say no more, fringe dresses, skirts, pantsuits and accessories to adore!
Love the fringe that you’re dolled up in!
Fringe: Always a high fashion hit on the runway!
“I normally go for an office, business type of clothing look.”
“Why not change it up a bit and wear fancy fringe? You’ll get hooked.”
“Fringe garments do look elegant and chic when the fringe swings and sways.”
“Fringe dress works for all events, fun when the tassels move every which way.”
“I wonder if my fringe attire will make it look like I’m dressing for a club?”
“And you care why? Dress to suit your personal taste, make your closet a fashion hub!”
Fringe: Delicate, flapping tassels make the clothing fun and flashy to wear. If the fringe adds a party or club look to your stylish clothes, oh fashion diva, wear it if you dare!
