November 2013

I’ve said it many times before, but I never tire of speaking this truth!  I love all things that sparkle, shimmer, razzle dazzle, and bedazzle! In fashion, I adore both looking at and wearing garments and accessories that are made from rhinestones, beads and glitter!
From clear rhinestones to colorful rhinestones, the shiny, appealing stones are able to set the overall tone of your outfit.
Yesterday, I wore black and white palazzo pants, a black leotard long sleeve shirt, and black patent leather stiletto platform shoes. The outfit sounds fancy, but the look was actually casual. Since I always prefer at least a dash of femininity in my clothes, I needed something girly and charming to offset the basic apparel. Right away I knew that my answer was rhinestones! I slipped rhinestone dangle bracelets onto my left wrist, and for my earrings, I wore my single strand clear rhinestone earrings. These earrings, although only consisting of one thin strand of sparkle, hang almost to my shoulders. These earrings are ladylike and elegant, adding the perfect touch of class to my basic outfit.
Adding a little bit of zing to complement a lot of zag!
A great way to offset casual attire is with rhinestone, glittered and beaded clutch purses or handbags. Once again, if your clothes say sporty and laid back, but you prefer to add an easy batch of oomph to up the look, carrying a fashionable, shining, adorable bag always works!
It is a fashion fallacy to think that in order to carry a bag this fancy, you need to be dressed up or going to an expensive, high society event! In my fashion opinion, these bags would work for everyday usage if that is your preference!
The number one rule of style and glamour: Be true to you!
A rhinestone is a diamond simulant made from rock, crystal, glass or acrylic.
Rhinestone Fun Fact: Originally, rhinestones were rock crystals gathered from the river Rhine, hence the name, although some rhinestones were found in areas like the Alps. Rhinestones can be used as imitations of diamonds, and some manufacturers manage to reproduce the glistening effect in rhinestones that real diamonds have in the sun!
Glisten, glimmer, glittery glamour!
You can always set a rhinestone tone merely by holding a remarkable sparkled bag!
A downfall of wearing rhinestone clothing, purses or jewelry is that sometimes, the rhinestones fall out. Once a rhinestone is missing, the empty space is noticeable!
How to Keep Rhinestones from Falling Out:

  1. Try to keep the rhinestones item away from extreme heat, or water. Both heat and wet will loosen the glue and allow easy access for stones to fall out.
  2. Coat your rhinestone items with clear nail polish. This helps add a thin, protective sealer that isn’t visible to the eye.
  3. If you really want to ensure that your stones stay put, paint one layer of gorilla glue (clear) over the entire item, and let the glue dry before wearing the piece. Those stones won’t be going anywhere, and neither will your fingers, if they come in contact with the gorilla glue.

In addition to clothing, accessories and handbags, rhinestones and beads work splendidly on costumes and crowns! Yes princesses, wear a crown – – – you’ve earned it!Image
Don’t you agree that these sparkly purses are absolutely lovely to look at?
Rhinestone Fun Fact: Rhinestones are sized by using the term “SS”, or stone size, followed by the number to indicate the size (i.e. SS8 is equivalent to 2.3 mm, SS10 is 2.8 mm). SS is more commonly used for apparel, while PP (pearl plate) is used for jewelry.
Razzle, dazzle, sparkle and bedazzle when your hands hold tightly to a purse that shines brightly!
Rhinestone Purse Fashion Tip: If your outfit is subdued and tends to border on only one or two solid colors, then a colored rainbow rhinestone purse highlights the subtlety of the outfit. However, if your outfit is extremely colorful on its own, then carrying a clear or one solid color rhinestone bag tops off the polished look. Polar opposites attract, even in fashion!
Crystal Rhinestone Fun Fact: Crystal rhinestones are produced mainly in Austria by Swarovski and in the Czech Republic by Preciosa and a few other glassworks in northern Bohemia. In the United States, these are sometimes called Austrian Crystal. In the Spanish-speaking world, they are called Cristal de Bohemia.
World wide, rhinestones sparkle up and spice up all forms of fashion. From the grunge look to haute couture, dolling yourself up with a rhinestone item adds a unique, signature feel to your clothes, for sure!
Hot Fix Rhinestones: Hot fix rhinestones are mainly used for apparel. The flat bottom of the stone has a glue backing, and when heated, melts onto the surface of the clothing. These can be attached using a regular iron or a heat press.
Rhinestone Fashion Tip: Placing rhinestones on fingernails is great fun and can be used to create beautiful artwork. I particularly like when one medium sized clear rhinestone is placed on a long, little fingernail (either one or both hands). This looks elegant and says, “I’m sweet yet sassy!”
Rhinestone Fashion Tip: Rhinestones make great substitutes for sequins. Sequins is also gorgeous, but if you are going for a classier look, rather than use sequins, use rhinestones.
Either way, you will glimmer and shimmer with remarkable sparkle!
Shine on you fashion star! Be bold and express the lit up, stand out, effervescent beauty that you are!

Fuzzy, fluffy fur coats, vests and boots are snuggly and lovely. To many people, wearing clothing made out of real fur is a no no, for both the animal and the person draped in the soft duds.
Welcome, faux fur!
Faux fur, also called fun fur and fake fur, is any material made of synthetic fibers designed to resemble real fur, normally as part of a piece of clothing. Faux fur can be sewn on a sewing machine. While faux fur contains the warmth, glamour and high fashion essence that real fur provides, unlike natural fur, fake fur is ethical and animal cruelty free!
Create a stir wrapped in fabulous faux fur!
Faux Fur Fun Fact: Fake fur isn’t only used in clothing. Faux fur is used to make stuffed animals, fashion accessories and home decorations, such as pillows, bedding and throw items.
Faux fur was first introduced in 1929 and has been commercially available since the 1950s, but the faux fur’s increase in popularity has been credited to its promotion by animal rights and animal welfare organizations, which claim that faux fur rocks in the fact that it saves the lives of innocent animals.
“Excuse me, you are looking quite foxy in that fluffy fox fur that you are wearing.”
“Oh, this is fluffy faux fox fur. The fox didn’t feel like sharing!”
Blow them away coated in faux fur coats whose fashion charm and pizzazz are here to stay!
Advantages of Using Faux Fur in Clothing:

  1. Faux fur is humane and animal cruelty free
  2. Faux fur is a fabric (as opposed to real hair/fur) therefore, it is easy to sew with
  3. Faux fur doesn’t require or encourage breeding of animals in factory farms (as real fur does)
  4. Faux fur doesn’t require cold storage to prevent deterioration
  5. Faux fur doesn’t appear appetizing to moths
  6. Faux fur is gorgeous to look at

Materials that can be used to make faux fur include blends of acrylic and modacrylic polymers derived from coal, air, water, limestone and petroleum.
Boots, the perfect winter shoe, always appear stylish and fashion forward when the magnificent, furry shoes are walking toward you!
Keep your feet warm and your look pure glam when your boots are coated in faux fur raccoon or ram!
Faux Fur Fun Fact: Fake fur has been increasingly used in mainstream fashion. Abercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle use faux fur for trapper hats and jackets. In the Russian Army, fish fur is used as a slang term for the fake fur that is used on winter clothing and hats. Major fashion icons, such as Ralph Lauren and Chanel, have promoted faux fur in their runway collections.
Look too real to be true when dressed in faux fur, which will surely do grandly for you!
Faux fur makes perfect coats, vests, hats, shawls, etc. to wear in the rain, as the synthetic materials will not rot or smell if they get wet or drenched! Faux fur equals no stench!
So much of fashion allows you to create magical, ethereal, over the top illusions of elegance and wonderment. Battling the cold and braving icy elements in faux fur is chic, trendy and relevant.
Fashion is fierce, fantastic and fabulous fun! Faux fur, no matter how the fake hair is worn, always looks well done!
Make a real entrance in faux fur!
Whether you are adorned in faux fur to be cozy and warm, or merely to tear up the town, when dressed in fake fur you will both create and survive a fashion storm and a natural storm!
Faux Fur Tip: Faux fur is the perfect fashion item to wear on special occasions! Feel like a million bucks in a garment that is reasonably priced!
With faux fur you save animals lives and your money, as faux fur is much less expensive than real fur!
Look and feel like the real deal when you decide to wear faux fur to that five-star, fancy meal!
My words ring true! Fake fur makes for a fabulous you! Now, why would I lie to you?

There are many ways to apply and combine face makeup to create stunning, soft, gorgeous looks. However, if I had to choose one facial makeup combination that I find to be absolutely striking, I would have to go with a heavily made up eye (primarily consisting of black eyeliner) and a nude lip. There is something about this blend and color of cosmetics that deserves its own blog post!
Heavy, theatrical made up eyes and nude lips creates a look that is sultry and sexy! Innocence meets seduction! Youth meets sophistication!
For those of you who want to stand out at holiday parties, or for those of you who simply want to stand out, if you decorate your face with heavy eyeliner and mascara, over emphasizing the eyes, and then apply a nude tone lipstick or lip gloss to your mouth, the results are elegant and exquisite!
This makeup combination wears well on all complexions and skin tones!
A makeup match that shouts hip: heavy eyeliner and a nude lip!
Eyeliner is a cosmetic used to define the eyes. Eyeliner is applied around the contours of the eye to create a variety of aesthetic illusions. Black eyeliner pulls out the mystique and allure of your eyes, and the makeup can be applied below the bottom eyelashes, above the upper contour of the eye, or both. Also, eyeliner can be extended beyond the rim of the eye.
Eyeliner Tip: If you feel that black eyeliner is too harsh, apply the eyeliner, and then smudge the line with a Q tip. This will give the eyeliner a more subdued, soft look. Personally, I like the dramatic image that black eyeliner creates. When the dramatic, spellbinding eye is highlighted with a nude lip, the look is unmatchable in style and posh!
Lipstick is a cosmetic product containing pigments, oils, waxes and emollients that apply color, texture, and protection to the lips. Many varieties of shades and lip glosses exist.
Nude lipstick enhances your natural lip color, while not being overbearing on the face. Heavy, thick eyeliner and a trace of nude lipstick invite chic, charming style and glam!
Nude lipsticks are generally flesh colored, with tones of pale pinks and subdued oranges. Glossy nude lips can never be missed and beg to be kissed!
Various types and textures of eyeliners will create different effects:

  1. Liquid Eyeliner: Liquid eyeliner usually comes in a bottle and is applied with an applicator or a brush. When applied, liquid eyeliner can look heavy. If your liquid eyeliner begins to dry out in the bottle, simply add a small amount of water and mix.
  2. Powder Eyeliner: Generally this eyeliner comes in the form of a pencil. Simply run the tip over the eye area that you wish to highlight. When the edge of the eyeliner pencil becomes dull, you can sharpen the eye pencil to create a strong point, necessary for a great application.
  3. Wax Based Eyeliner: Wax based eyeliners are softer than pencil eyeliners. Generally wax based eyeliners are applied with a brush.
  4. Kohl Eyeliner: This is a soft powder form that comes in a pencil, pressed powder, or loose powder form. Kohl eyeliner has a tendency to smudge.
  5. Gel Eyeliner: A soft gel eyeliner, that can be applied with a thin brush.

You can wear your eyeliner clearly, dramatically defined or softly smudged. When painting your lips with nude lipstick, the heavily painted, black eyeliner clearly wins first prize!
Mesmerize with your subdued nude lips and your black painted eyes!
Tight Lining Your Eyeliner: Tight lining is the use of eyeliner, running tight against the water line under the eyelashes of the upper lid, and above the eyelashes of the lower lid (applying the eyeliner under and over the top and bottom lashes, closer to the actual eye, as opposed to swiping the eyeliner above the top lashes and below the lower lashes). Tight lining is a technique which makes the eyelashes appear to start farther back on the eyelid, thereby making the eyelashes look longer. Warning: if you do attempt tight lining, be careful not to poke your eye with the eyeliner brush or pencil!
Lipstick Fun Fact: Ancient Mesopotamian women are believed to be the first women to invent and wear lipstick. They crushed gemstones and used them to decorate their lips. Women in the ancient Indus Valley Civilization applied lipstick to their lips for face decoration. Lipsticks with shimmering effects were initially made using a pearlescent substance found in fish scales.
Facing the world with a face that wears heavily made up eyes, accented with a pale, nude lip is my number one, over-the-top makeup tip!
Fabulous face fashion at its finest!
Eyeliner Fun Fact: In addition to defining the eyes, eyeliner can create a look of a larger, wider eye. Eyeliner can be placed in various parts of the eye to create different looks. In addition to drawing attention to your eyes, eyeliner also helps your eyelashes to look lush.
Change the shape of your eye with the swipe of an eyeliner brush, making your eyes look fantastic and lush!
Don’t walk, rush to your mirror and watch your face literally transform before your eyes when you spruce up your eyes with dynamic black eyeliner, and you paint your lips with a natural nude hue!
The results will be a trendy, vogue, beautiful you!
Dark, theatrical eyes and flesh toned, natural looking lips (covered by nude lipstick) truly does create a face that rises above the rest!
Do you want to look your best? Put my color makeup ritual to the test!
Flirt with your face!
A major benefit to the heavily eyeliner coated eye, and the skin toned lip is that the contrast of the heavy and light makeup combination allows the colors to be worn for all occasions, whether your are having dinner with the Queen of England, or going casual for a fast-food dinner.
The look is truly hard and soft, playful and elegant, and youthful and serious!
Most of all, this facial makeup combination is sassy and seductive, without looking cheap or like you are trying too hard!
Simply sublime. I highly suggest that you try it sometime!

Results of color studies have shown that the color pink, in addition to being a pretty color, calms and reassures our emotional energies, alleviating feelings of anger, aggression, resentment, abandonment and neglect. Exposure to large amounts of pink can have a calming effect on the nerves, even creating physical weakness in people.
So, are you stressed over how to dress? Wear pink!
Pink signifies compassion, nurturing and love, as well as femininity and romance!
Get your groove on and your party on by wearing the pumped up color pink!
Pink is a pale red color, which takes its name from the flower of the same name, pinks, members of the genus Dianthus. In most European languages, pink is called rose or rosa, after the rose flower.
Pink Fun Fact: Pink and white together symbolizes youth, tenderness and innocence. Pink combined with black or violet is associated with seduction.
Innocent or Femme Fatale? It is your call!
Tips for Wearing Pink:

  1. The shoe colors that look the most stylish and wear well with pink are black, white and pink.
  2. Other garment colors that mix well with pink are dark blue, dark green, black, gray and white.
  3. If your entire outfit is pink, including your shoes, you may want to break the solid puff of pink up a bit with a black or a white belt, or accessories of other colors.

Pink high heels are feminine, girly and glamorous! As a lover of high heeled shoes, occasionally dolling your feet up in pink shoes helps a girl beat the blues!
All of those pink party shoes are pleasing to the eye!
The color pink, even if the color strikes you as too girly and prissy, is pretty to look at. Think strawberry ice cream, strawberry cake frosting, strawberry slushes! The color of the yummy treats is almost as inviting as the taste of these scrumptious, sweet eats!
Who can resist a pink rose? Pleasure for your eyes and a lovely scent for your nose!
When it comes to makeup items and nail polishes, you can’t go wrong with shades of pink! Pink lipsticks and pink shades of blushes match with most all colors that you may be wearing. Pink eye shadows are always eye catching, and pink fingernails add youth and charm to any set of hands.
Hands down, pink makeups are number one for a party night on the town!
Pink is a sweet color, no longer only associated with female babies and beautiful ballerinas! The color pink in fashion works for all ages, in all walks of life!
Pink Fun Fact: In the 20th century, pinks in clothing became bolder, brighter and more assertive, in part because of the invention of chemical dyes which did not fade. In the fashion world, pink garments signify seduction and romance. A woman who knows herself and is comfortable in her own skin wears pink with pride!

Love the skin that you are in, and decorate your fabulous you in clothes with a stunning pink hue!
For those of you who love to ramp up your hair color with fun, vibrant shades of sheer splendor, adding pink highlights to your hair is a must!  If you are attending an event where you want to make a stellar entrance, pink hair is a fabulous accessory to wear, if you dare!
Various shades of pink consist of blush, rose, salmon, orchid, fushia, hot pink, pastel pink and pale pink!
But you say that you aren’t one to wear pink? That is an opinion that you may want to rethink!
Don’t these women look sensational in pink?
Pink Fun Fact: Pink was first used as a color name in the late 17th century! Pink is sometimes associated with extravagance and a wish to be noticed! Think the pink Cadillac! That car is all that, and more!
When is wearing pink the right time? All of the time! You truly will look sublime!
Even pink poodles walk proudly when they are out strutting the streets, showing off their owners while prancing at their feet!
Do you want to throw a party that is top notch and aesthetically pleasing? Decorate in pink, I think! Pink isn’t only for girl baby showers!
Unleash you fashion power by dressing in pink! The color pink deserves a wink!
Don’t slink away from dressing in the “fluff” color of pink! You will look “tougher” than you think!

One positive, crucial element of the fashion world is that certain clothing can be worn by both males and females, and the polished look is strikingly stylish. Androgynous (exhibiting both male and female traits) trends and styles can be pulled off to fashion elegance, and the tuxedo suit, along with some types of business suits, is a prime example of this male/female phenomenon!
A tuxedo, or dinner jacket, is a formal evening suit distinguished primarily by satin or grosgrain facing on the jacket’s lapels and buttons, and a similar stripe along the outseam of the trousers. The suit is typically black and commonly worn with a formal shirt, shoes and other accessories, most traditionally in the form prescribed by the black tie dress code.
A suit is a set of garments made from the same cloth, consisting of a jacket and trousers. There are variations in design, cut and material, such as two and three-piece suits, and single or double breasted suits. Suits originated as menswear, but now pants suits and business suits are a favorite mode of dress for females, as well.
Women appear alluring and appealing when dressed feminine in what began as men’s clothing!
Women generally do not wear neckties with their suits, but when pulling off the tuxedo look, or when placing the female flair onto something traditionally worn by men, a necktie fits just as lovely as a nice necklace would!
Suit Fun Fact: The word suit derives from the French suite, meaning “following”, from the Late Latin derivative form of the Latin verb sequor, which translates to “I follow”, because the component garments (jacket and trousers and waistcoat) follow each other, and have the same cloth and color, and are worn together.
Create a following of fans when you walk out in the world covered in modern menswear clothing!
Step out looking lovely and all together, when you’re dressed from head to toe in handsome suit splendor!
For a change of pace, I think that women rocking suits that resemble men’s clothing look sharp, and even sultry. When the suit is worn with high heels and feminine jewelry, the androgynous look is striking and stunning!
Tuxedo Fun Fact: The tuxedo, in the context of menswear, originated in the United States around 1888. The garment was named after Tuxedo Park, a Hudson Valley enclave for New York’s social elite, where the tuxedo was often seen in its early years. The term tuxedo was capitalized until the 1930s, and at first referred only to the jacket. When the jacket was given its own unique trousers and accessories in the 1900s, the term began to be associated with the entire suit.
If your goal is to dress to give credit to the androgynous look (exhibiting both male and female traits), you will carry off the look much more if you wear colors of gray, black, brown, navy, etc., as most men wear these colors when dressed in a suit. However, if you want to truly make an entrance, a pink or purple or baby blue suit will do and look great on you!
Tuxedo Jacket Fun Fact: In French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Polish, Russian and other European languages, the tuxedo jacket is sometimes called a smoking jacket. In Spanish, it is an esmoquin. This name is in reference to the jacket’s early similarity to Victorian smoking jackets.
Man, oh man, what a suit wearing woman!
When wearing a pants suit, a lacy blouse, a men’s dress shirt, or no top at all wears well underneath the jacket. Depending on where you are going, the shirt that you select, or decide to do without, can dress the suit up or down. Whatever your preference!
The men’s suit ensemble for women is a fancy, elegant and vogue look that is great to show off at a New Year’s Eve party, or some other festive or holiday occasion!
Glamorous and glorious!
Dressed like a man, but every ounce a woman!
A great finishing touch to the androgynous male/female suit is topping the larger than life look off with a hat!
Tip your hat to the look that is sophisticated, exquisite and sure to cause a hoot! The suit!
As a final note, fancy silk scarves that resemble floppy ascot ties highlight pant suits with fashionable flair. Dare to wear the men’s trouser suit. Arguing my fashion taste in this case is highly moot!

Hair is hot in all of its forms. Whether worn long or short, curly or straight, permed or flattened, or even bald, people have an undying love affair with their hair (or lack thereof)!
Think the bed head. Even a head of hair that is somewhat unkempt (I said unkempt, not unclean), looking a bit shaggy and being worn in such a way as to be described as a “hot mess” looks hot!
Strike a pose by striking hair that makes a statement! All hair speaks, and loudly!
For this particular blog post, I am going to showcase long hair worn with soft, loose, curls. There are so many variances of hairdos and hairstyles that work well, and I will highlight other hairstyles in future fashion posts. Also, if you prefer to view other types of hairstyles, I have written other hair topics in prior posts.
For those of you who want to give the loose curl a whirl, this one is for you!
No matter the color of hair, flowing, wavy hair is dynamic! From black to brown to red to blonde to dyes of pinks, blues and greens, when your hair cascades with soft layered curls you will truly make a stylish scene!
With soft, draping curls, the hair style sizzles whether the hair is parted down the middle of your head, parted on the side of your head, or blow dried or teased to where the hair rises on the top of your head, and there is no visible part at all! (I find this hairstyle super attractive, especially when worn with a headband or some fancy hair accessory)!
Four Easy Ways to Put Loose Curls in Your Hair:

  1. Using a thick curling iron
  2. Using heat curlers
  3. Braiding your hair using wide sections of hair, braided loosely
  4. Using foam curlers

These curling methods are fairly self-explanatory, but I will list step-by-step instructions for applying soft, loose curls to your hair using foam curlers (foam curlers are extremely safe for your hair as they don’t burn or tend to pull out or break the hair strands). Foam curlers tend to work best when you put them in before going to sleep at night, and then remove them in the morning.
Creating Soft, Loose Curls Using Foam Curlers:

  1. Shampoo and condition your hair
  2. Blow dry the hair so that the hair dries some, yet is still damp
  3. Use thick width foam curlers for loose curls (smaller, tightly wound foam curlers will producer tighter, thinner curls or ringlets)
  4. Using sections of hair (one section uses one foam curler), wrap your hair around the foam curler (starting at the base of the hair section) and continue to roll the curler toward your scalp as you continue to wrap the selected strand of hair
  5. Clamp the built in curler holder together to keep the curler in place
  6. Continue to apply as many curlers as you prefer
  7. If your hair is layered, it works best if you roll the shorter hair first, or the sections of hair that will be nearest to your scalp
  8. Once the curlers are in place, you may want to wrap your hair in a scarf, or simply let the curlers dangle loosely while you snooze and slumber
  9. In the morning, unsnap the curlers and remove them from your hair, unwiding the hair from the curler
  10. Wahlah! Long, gorgeous, bouncy, beautiful soft curls
  11. Brush lightly using a soft bristled hairbrush (the harder you brush the curls, you will eventually brush the curl out)
  12. Spray a light hairspray and/or hair gloss or hair shine, if preferred

Curler Tip: Heat curlers can give you the same amount of curl and can be placed in dry hair, however, the curls from heat curlers don’t last as long as curls from foam curlers. This same rule applies when using a curling iron. As far as braiding the hair with long, lustrous curls in mind as the end result, this method works much like foam curlers. Braid damp hair (preferably before going to sleep – using wide stranded braids for loose curls) and when you remove the braids, your hair will be wavy. If the braid strands are small and braided tightly, the hair will have a crimped look.
Who said that diamonds are a girl’s best friend? Curlers are mighty great companions themselves!
A real plus for flowing, soft curls is that the hairstyle works for both tenth degree glamour, as well as when you are going for a more casual, down to earth look.
For those of you who normally don’t curl your hair, once in a while the change creates a fun, unique, sensational look. I love sleek, straight hair, but a bouncing, full, stream of soft curls turns any head into a head of sheer beauty!
Feminine, fly and fine!
Looking oh, so girly with flowing hair that is curly!
Curly Hair Fun Fact: Manes that consist of cascading curls many times look like you are wearing a crown! Hair that is hard to miss!
Curly Hair Tips: If your hair tends to be dry or brittle, you may want to give your tender tresses a deep conditioning or spray your hair with a styling spray before you apply the curls. Also, remember, the wider and larger the curler, the softer and looser the curl will be.
Wrap, roll and curl your hair to sheer elegance and ultra-perfection!
Are you agonizing over what to wear? May I suggest a full, puffy head of chic curled hair!
From hair to there, people will truly stop and stare!
Curled hair is sexy, sensational, superb and simple to create! Tousled, top notch tresses!
So create a new you with a hip, sensual, totally new “do”!
You wear those curls well, girls!
As exquisite as being draped in the finest of pearls when you greet the day with a head full of curls!
Loose, lustrous, luxurious locks absolutely rock!
Now if only those curls could talk! Oh wait, they do! They say “Your hair can look as hot as me, too!” Those words ring oh, so true!
Curls, anyone?

In the world of clothing glitz and groove, if one were to describe a belt, they would probably say that a belt is an item that is generally worn around the waist, and is used to hold pants up.  And, this definition would be correct. But, to take the practicality out of the item and to spruce the item up to its true fashion potential, one would say that a belt is a decorative sash, or waistband, or cord type item that is used and worn as a clothing ornament.
A belt that is truly versatile and always attractive is the chain belt. Rarely is a chain belt worn merely as a practical device to keep one’s pants or skirt up. Chain belts are usually worn to add sparkle, style and glamour to an outfit!
Chain belts are made as a series of connected links, which are typically made of metal. A chain may consist of two or more links.
Chain belts should be thought of as jewelry for the waist and/or hips!
And, whether worn tightly around the waist or flowing around the hips, chain belts exude “hip”.
My favorite way to wear a chain belt is to let the belt drape loosely around my hips, with plenty of chain left to dangle when the belt has been locked (or buckled) together on one hip. This creates a cascading, pleasing look made of chain links!
Chain belts, with their elegant flow and their pleasant appeal, do much, much more than merely hold your pants up!
Chain belts are extremely feminine and radiate a fashionable vibration, emitting a freeing, glamorous look!
Chain belts come in many variations. The belt can consist of one small, classy, thin line of chain, or many strands of chain can come together to form a thick, extremely wide belt. Chain belts can add pomp and pizzazz to an outfit in a way that cloth or leather belts cannot match!
Many chain belts do not have belt buckles, fastening by merely an opening in one chain link that hooks into another chain link (much like fastening a necklace or a bracelet). However, belt buckles do exists on some chain belts. The buckle is the clasp for fastening the two ends of the belt, where one of the ends is fitted or coupled to the other end.
Belt Buckle Fun Fact: Belt buckles became more popular as fashion accessories in the early 20th century, as the tops of pants and trousers moved more toward the waist. “Western style” belt buckles were largely popularized by cowboy movies in the United States and are often awarded to winners in rodeo events as prizes and trophies. Some belt buckles are so elaborate and stylish that they are known as the “front tuck”, as people tuck in their shirts simply as an attempt to show off the belt buckle! Fashion lovers, all of us!
Aesthetically, belts win more for their look and their high fashion allure than for their simple usage of holding up a pair of pants. Fashion wins again! Always!
If you need a belt to hold your pants up anyway, you might as well keep the trousers in their preferred place with something that looks delicious at the same time as serving a predictable purpose!
Chain Belt Fun Fact: Chain belts, whether worn around the waist or dangled over the hips, give your waist and/or hips a trimmed down look. Waist belts tend to pull in the waist, which makes the waist appear smaller.
Chain Belt Tip: If you are going for an illusion of making your waist or your hips look thinner, don’t clasp the belt too tightly, as this causes extra skin to drape over the belt. You would be ahead to wear a larger sized belt and to fasten the belt to where no excess skin folds over the belt.
Chain belts, whether gold or silver or colored, add a far classier look to your outfit than an elastic, material or leather belt will.

If you have legs right up to your neck, or boots right up to your thigh, the fact is that you will be riding high and getting the same effect: hot legs!

Thigh high boots are easy on the eyes, yet not always that easy of a look to pull off. If you are someone who dares to be a bit fashion bold, as well as sassy and styling, then you just may want to wrap your legs, your knees and a portion of your thighs in these long boots that say oh, so much!

Thigh high boots do not need an introduction!

When wearing thigh high boots, the fabulous footwear looks the best when the entire boot is on display. If you are draped in boots that hug clear up your leg, then by all means, show off the entire sensual shoe.

The best ways to wear thigh high boots:

  1. If the boots are worn with a dress or a skirt or shorts, the hem of the garment should stop before the clothing touches the top of the boot, leaving at least one or two inches of thigh showing from the top of the boot to the hem of the skirt/dress/shorts.
  2. If the boots are worn with pants, the best look is when the pant legs are tucked inside of the boots, allowing the entire boot to be seen.
  3. If the boots are tucked into leggings, make sure that your shirt doesn’t hang so low as to cover any portion of the top of the boot.

Thigh High Boots Fun Fact: Many thigh high boots fit clingy to the leg, however, more loose fitting, casual looking thigh high boots also wear exceptionally well with certain outfits.

Thigh high boots are generally viewed as either daunting or darling. Depending on your opinion of the brave boots, these shoes are by far a conversation piece. I’m sure there are many people that find thigh high boots flattering, yet, also scary to try on themselves.

Try on a pair of thigh high boots and fight your fears!

Thigh High Boots Fun Fact: Thigh high boots elongate your legs, as the boots themselves are quite long and high, giving off an illusion of longer legs.

Thigh high boots are probably not a shoe that you would wear daily into the office, but they are an ideal shoe to unleash your inner glamour girl and to wear confidently to your office holiday party!

When wearing thigh high boots with dresses, skirts or shorts, the boots take on different looks merely by the hosiery that you are wearing. Here are some of the best choices to pull off a polished, haute couture toe to thigh look: Hoist your boots on over:

  1. Bare legs
  2. Opaque stockings or pantyhose
  3. Nylons
  4. Fishnet stockings or pantyhose
  5. Tights

Tight fitting, thigh high boots, slinked on over clingy tights, worn with a form fitted or a full skirt and a feminine top is quite the sight!

Depending on how you choose to wear your thigh high boots, you can create looks that radiate sheer sophistication, as well as outfits that work perfectly for a more casual, playful, yet trendy look.

Pull on a pair of thigh high boots, and after one look, you’ll be hooked!

Warning: Thigh high boots shout sex appeal, so be prepared for lots of looks as you strut your stylish self through town in a head turning pair of thigh high boots!

Thigh High Boots Fun Fact: If you have larger calves, a boot where the material stretches or zips up the back will be easier to slip on or off. I have no guarantee that once you pull up your thigh high boots, that the mile high shoe will slide off as easily as the dashing boot slipped on! However, the effort that it takes to garnish your legs in thigh high boots is well worth the energy exerted!

You’ve got boots right up to your thigh – oh my!

It makes no difference the color of the shoe, it’s the style and the height of the boot that shines through!

How will you know a true pair of thigh high boots? All of your knee will be covered, and the top portion of the boot will extend above the knee and up a portion of the thigh. Thigh high boots are not to be confused with knee high boots.

I love the aura of knee high, stiletto heeled boots. Yet, from a truly high fashion perspective, I feel that the image of style that the thigh high boot conveys can kick the knee high boot to the curb! In the world of boots, the thigh high boot takes center stage and is all the daring fashion rage!

Thigh high bootliscious!

Crocheted materials are always pretty. Anything crocheted, be it blankets, sweaters, dresses, doilies, etc., radiate a soft, feminine, peaceful vibration.

Cool, calm and collected: crochet!

Crochet is a process of creating fabric from yarn, thread or other material strands using a crochet hook. The word is derived from the French word “crochet”, meaning hook, diminutive of croche, feminine of croc, of Germanic origin.

Crocheted garments emit a unique, attractive and alluring look!

Crocheting garments consists of pulling loops through other loops, but additionally incorporates wrapping the working material around the hook one or more times. Crochet differs from knitting in that with crocheting, only one stitch is active at one time, stitches made with the same diameter of yarn are comparably taller, and a single crochet hook is used, instead of two knitting needles.

Crocheted dresses look suave and mod on any body!

Crochet Early History Fun Fact: In the 19th century, as Ireland was facing the Great Irish Famine (1845-1849), crochet lace work was introduced as a form of famine relief (the production of crocheted lace being an alternative way of making money for impoverished Irish workers). Mademoiselle Riego de la Blanchardiere is generally credited with the invention of Irish Crochet, publishing the first book of patterns in 1846. Irish lace became popular in Europe and America, and was made in quantity until the first World War.

Today, crocheted patterns are an extremely popular fixture in the clothing and the handbag business!

Carry your handy and essential items in modern, trendy fashion by storing your needed necessities in the cool, crocheted purse that you are carrying!

Basic materials needed to crochet a dress yourself are:

  1. A Crochet Hook
  2. Yarn or Thread
  3. A Cardboard Cut Out – Modeling the garment that you wish to crochet
  4. Tassles, Fringe, or Decorative Items
  5. A Tape Measure and a Guage Measure (used for counting stitches)

A crochet hook comes in many sizes and materials, such as bone, bamboo, aluminum, plastic and steel. Sizing is categorized by the diameter of the hook’s shaft, and a crafter aims to create stitches of a certain size, in order to reach a particular gauge specified in a given pattern.

Crochet Hook Fun Fact: Crochet hooks range in size from 0.4 to 3.5 millimeters, or from 00 to 16 in American sizing.

Hook crocheted dresses will definitely hook you in!

Crocheted dresses, in addition to looking fabulous and festive, are a perfect attire
to wear to fancy dress occasions. Crocheted clothing makes a head turning, fashion statement when worn to parties, holiday celebrations, wedding showers, baby showers, etc.

Dress in doll dress up style, draped in glorious crochet an
d a knock out smile!

Crocheted garments look stellar whether the entire outfit is one single color, or whether your diva body is dressed in colorful yarn splendor!

Crocheting Process: Crocheted fabric is begun by placing a slip-knot on the hook, pulling another loop through the first loop, and repeating this process to create a chain of a suitable length. The chain is either turned and worked in rows, or joined to the beginning of the row with a slip stitch and worked in rounds. Stitches are made by pulling one or more loops through each loop on the chain. At any one time, at the end of a stitch, there is only one loop left on the hook!

Do you want to make your own clothes yet you don’t know how to sew? No problem! Crochet your way to stylish, splendid runway exquisiteness!

Many crochet stitches can only be crafted by hand, but the final product is worth your time, as the finished look is grand!

Silver and gray, although subdued, sensitive colors, create explosion and combustion when together on the style scene. Silver and gray clothing can come across as elegant and alluring, even though the colors alone can sometimes appear drab and dull.
Awaken your senses and your great sense of fashion foxiness dressed in the glorious colors of silver and gray.
The color gray is an intermediate color between black and white, a neutral or achromatic color, meaning literally a color “without color.” Silver, a chemical element that has long been valued as a precious metal, as a clothing color, emits vibrations of sparkling richness and royalty.
Gray or Grey Fun Fact: The spelling of the color gray depends on your roots of origin. Gray is used primarily in the United States, and other areas that use US English. Grey is used in Great Britain and areas that use UK English. Proper nouns, such as last names, are generally spelled Grey and of course, grey with an “e” in the word greyhound. Woof!
Make your way down the runway in splendid colors of silver and gray!
Silver Fun Fact: Most silver is produced as a byproduct of copper, gold, lead and zinc refining. Silver jewelry is both beautiful and revered. Silver itself appears rich, dainty and elegant.
Ok, I have to place this last silver jewelry picture in here, as a silver jewelry exclamation mark! I couldn’t resist!
The color silver has a feminine energy, and it is related to the moon and the ebb and flow of the tides. Silver is fluid, sensitive and mysterious.
Much like your clothing, the color silver and the type of garments selected can be used to display your moods, your personality and of course, your fabulous fashion sense!
The color gray on its own is an unemotional color. Gray is detached, neutral, impartial and indecisive. However, when worn in splendid style, the color gray can wash a sad or a depressed mood completely away.
Be the silver and gray fashion fox that lurks inside of you, itching to run free!
Gray Fun Fact: Some people are indifferent to the color gray, as it relates to the corporate worker in the gray suit – conservative, reliable, formal and independent, and maybe, gasp, boring!
I don’t agree with gray being a boring, dull color for clothes. I, with my fair skin and blonde hair, adore wearing grays, silvers and black tones. However, if you do dress in gray and feel that you need to add some zig and some zag to punch your outfit up to the tenth degree, why not add these haughty, hot high heels, and these luscious shades of lipsticks!
Like I’ve stated many times, fashion should be fun! Fashion is creative, artistic and a great way to display snippets of the unique person that you are. Fashion is truly an art!
Dress smart in the art of fashion, and use silvers and grays to ignite your passion!
When it comes to handbags, and it is near impossible when discussing outfits to emit handbags, a sliver or gray bag not only is a must, but generally matches most anything that you are wearing. I have a metallic silver purse that I simply adore! I don’t carry the handbag everyday, but when I want a purse that shimmers and shines and radiates “divine” I carry my purse of magnetic, silver sunshine!
Effects of the color gray:

  1. Indecision
  2. Detached
  3. Neutrality
  4. Compromise
  5. Unemotional

Yet in the realm of clothing, gray looks 100 percent, A okay!
Effects of the color silver:

  1. Calming
  2. Soothing
  3. Dignified
  4. Responsible
  5. Reflection
  6. Prestige
